"Alic come on! We need to go now if you don't want to be late picking up Jake!" I yelled up the stairs. Me and Bryan had started watching The Grudge. It's a really weird scary movie. Now I know what you're thinking, just because I'm a girl I should be scared to death of horror movies but it's just the opposite actually. I love them, especially this time of year. With Halloween just around the corner I'll be watching horror movie after horror movie.
"OK, I'm coming." He said running down the stairs. He looked handsome in his blue button down and black skinny jeans. I smiled at how cute my 13 year old brother has gotten over the years, even with his dyed black hair. We got in my car and started driving to Jake's. A few minutes later me, Bryan, Alic, and Jake were deriving to 27th street, to El Matador. When we got there we all got out and I pulled Alic to the side.
"Alic, now I know you want to be alone with Jake so me and Bryan will go to a different table."
"Thank you, Emily." He said hugging me. He then let go and ran to catch up with Jake. When we got inside I clung onto Bryan's side. While Jake held onto Alic's hand. I smiled at the cuteness.
"How many people?" Asked the hostess.
"Just the two." Alic said back. She nodded grabbed two menus and took them to their table.
"So, um, are we going or staying?"
"Staying. Someone has to watch them. We just aren't going to sit with them. Also, I think I'm paying. So we'd have to stay either way."
"Yeah, but whatever you do, don't let them go to a hotel after. No matter how convincing they are. I know what happens in those places, and it is not what two 13 year-olds should be doing."
"Ew!" I yelled, smacking him on the arm. "I'm beginning to think that you should be under the category 'player' instead of 'bad boy.'" I said.
"What?" He said, the innocence in his voice obviously fake.
"Bryan, for God sakes, he's my little brother!" I whisper-yelled, noticing a couple people were looking over us, overhearing our strange conversation.
The hostess walked back over to us, and then led us to our table. She then sat us down, and proceeded to give us time to look at our menus.
A couple minutes later, she came back, and asked us if we were ready to order.
"Um, yes." Bryan started. "For an appetizer, we'll have the guacamole dip, and for me, I'll have, um, the Veracruz."
"OK, anything for you?" She asked. My anxiety started acting up. But for once I tried ignoring it, instead of letting it consume me. This was Alic's night, and I wasn't going to take that away from him. I wasn't going to let some stupid anxiety take that away from him.
"Um, yes. I'll have the Verde Burrito, please." She wrote it down quickly, and then asked us what we wanted to drink. Me and Bryan both got water. She then walked away.
"Emily, you did really good. How did you do that. I could see the anxiety starting, and then it just completely went away."
"Well, it didn't completely go away. But it did a little bit. All I did was try to ignore it. It wasn't easy, but I didn't want to steal away Alic's night with Jake. It wouldn't be fair if they had to sacrifice their first date for me and my stupid anxiety."
"Yeah. Well, whatever you did, it seemed to work." He said.
That's when the hostess came out with our appetizer and drinks.
"There you go. If you need anything, don't hesitate to ask." She said. I smiled at her.
"OK. No problem." I said. She then walked away again.
"So miss Emily, how is online school going?" I turned back to Bryan.
"I'm half way through the year. Where you guys are still only half way through first quarter."
"How in the hell?"
"I'm smart, I guess. I got most of it done in the couple of days we weren't talking."
"Oh. Makes sense." Our conversation continued on. Most of it was random, to other listeners they probably thought we were crazy. And by the end of the night we left El Matador best friends despite the fact that we both like each other. As for my brother and Jake, as soon as we started driving, the intense making out began. Their date must have gone great. As for me. I survived eating out at a restaurant with out having an anxiety attack, and even more excited about the fact that we were all going to have a sleep over and watch horror movies, because Halloween was in a couple of days. OK more like a week, it's next Saturday.

A/N: Sorry this chapter isn't as long as the other ones, I guess you could say it was more of a filler chapter. I hope you guys liked it.
