•Morgan's POV•

Lauren and I were sitting in traffic in her blue Prius, and I stared out into the yellow streetlamps that were cast along the dark highway packed with cars. Lauren tried honking a couple times but the traffic wasn't moving. "Dammit, sometimes I hate LA." She said, rolling her eyes and blaring ye horn one last time. "Maybe we should have taken your car so people would think we were famous or something." I giggled and turned on my phone. I looked at my screensaver to see the picture of Sawyer and I at the club months ago, the night that caused me to get pregnant. We both looked fabulous and happy not like anything we were now. Lauren saw me looking at the picture over and over again, and tapped me on the shoulder and smiled at me. I turned off my phone, she was probably thinking I was going crazy. "Hey, do you want to go to Palm Springs for a couple days?" I laughed at loud at this.

"Lauren, it's Saturday night, we have school Monday. Palm Springs?" I laughed again, and she looked at me smiling.

"We go tomorrow morning and take a couple days off school. Come back Wednesday." I stared at her like she was crazy.

"Lauren, we have taken a few days off already... This isn't middle school anymore." I laughed again, checking the time on my phone.

"You need to get away for a little while and so do I. You need to give sawyer a little space. We still have a couple days available for taking off... C'mon... You're not ready to go back to school anyway." I sighed, it did sound nice, and I couldn't go back to school. I was thinking about way too much.

"How will we stay down there? Sleep in my car?" I asked, there weren't many hotels in Palm Springs, the whole point there was for it to be peaceful.

"My aunt has a summer house down there, she would be happy for us to get away for a couple days. I'll call her as soon as we get home." I gasped and couldn't help but screech a little bit of excitement.

"Alright I'm in." I said, excitably hugging Lauren. "But we are taking my car, gotta arrive in style."

"Oh a Prius isn't enough style?" Lauren asked me jokingly, laughing.

"It is something." I said scrunching my nose and smiling as she playfully pushed me.

"You know everything's gonna be alright, right?" Lauren asked me, seriously. I smiled back at her.

"Everything's gonna be alright." I repeated. We arrived finally in the apartment parking lot and Lauren parked. I opened the car door and stepped out, same with Lauren on the other side. We walked into the building, up the elevator and into the hallway where our rooms are. "Do you wanna stay here for the night. Watch some movies or something? We can boot Joey to the couch." I smiled at her offer but shook my head.

"I don't think I can. Besides I need to pack if we are leaving tomorrow! And I wanna be there when sawyer comes back." She nodded and smiled.

"What time should we leave?" Lauren asked me, getting ready to unlock the door.

"Nine?"

"Cool." She said back and waved to me, and opened her door. I walked leisurely to our apartment and opened the door when I arrived to our apartment. I opened the door and turned on the lights. Sawyer obviously wasn't home, it was only midnight, and he would be back in about an hour. I set my phone on the counter and my purse and left my shoes on the floor. Today was the longest day of my life and I couldn't believe this had all happened so fast. I took off my shoes and trudged upstairs and into our bedroom. I stripped allow my clothes off and grabbed a fresh set of pajamas and closed the door behind me. I turned on the shower and took my hair out of it's high ponytail and stepped underneath the hot water. This was the only peace I had had all day.

Forty minutes later, I stepped out of the warmth of the shower and put on my pajamas. It was 12:50 and sawyer should be home soon. I crawled into bed and hitch and Cody came back upstairs and layed at the foot of the bed. I heard the front door open and then close. Sawyer was home, and most likely drunk from their night out. Shane must have driven back home, since he didn't drink. I heard sawyer struggle up the stairs like I had and then come into our room. I smiled and said "hey," when he came into the room. "Wow, I'm surprised you're here." He said, laughing and throwing himself on the bed.

"Why wouldn't I be?" Asking him as I giggled. He was kind of funny when he was drunk.

"Having a pity party with Lauren," he said, and I rolled my eyes, crossing my arms. The only unfortunate thing was that when Sawyer was drunk, it was like talking to a brick wall.

"No, Lauren and I are going away for a few days to Palm Springs. Leaving at nine tomorrow morning." I said, continuing to look at items on the Wanelo app, half paying attention to sawyer who was lying on his stomach next to me.

"Why can't you stay here?" He pouted and made a puppy face at me. I found that so adorable, but I needed time away from the endless chaos.

"No. I just need a little time off." I said, and found an adorable crop top and added it to my wish list.

"Then we can have sex now?" Sawyer asked me, making his puppy dog face again and trying to get on top of me. I pushed him off of my body.

"No, not after today, not for a little while." I told him, noticing that my body was still under wear from having to push out that dead baby body. Shudder.

"A little while? A week? How about when you get back?" He asked me again, I could see he wasn't going to drop the topic.

"Fine. When I get back, maybe." I told him, sternly. He still pushed himself on top of me, and before I knew anything, he smashed his lips against mine and I could taste the bitter-sweet taste of Vodka in his mouth, which gave me a rush. He pushed his tongue into my mouth, and I placed my iPad on the nightstand next to me, and threw my arms over him. We were making out for only a minute before he broke the kiss.

"I want to get you knocked up again, just like last time, and this time we won't lose the baby." He said, attacking my lips again, but I pushed him off me.

"No, no way. This is how I got pregnant last time, from alcohol. No," I said, sternly picking my iPad back up and turning it on. He lied next to me, for a minute before he was rubbing my stomach again, wasn't gonna lie it did feel good. But, I knew he had a trick up his sleeve. After a few minutes he started to move his hand further and further down into my pants. "Sawyer! Sawyer, stop." I told him grabbing his arm, and yanking it out. "You're drunk, now stop." He lied back down next to me and flopped on his back. He sat back up and started kissing my chest and starting going further down. I pushed him away for the last time, and turned off the light and put away my iPad. "Stop! Now, goodnight. Anything else you are being moved to the couch." He groaned and went to go take a shower. Finally, some peace.
