How did they like it?? I dont know. There's only one way to know. Ask them again and wait to see if they reply.
"Guys how did you like it?? How is the song? Say something yaar"
"Umm Manik, its nice but....."Dhruv trailed off.
"Dhruv if it is nice then there is no scope for buts right?" I said. Nandini sits on her wheelchair right beside me. She awaits as much as am i. I see her and finds the uncertainity on it. I might reflect the same expression at the moment.
I took her hand in mine, gently stroking the knukles. Then i look at the others.
"Answer me guys. Agar gaana achha hai, toh yeh 'but' kyon? Kuch missing hai? Music achha nahi hai? Kya problem hai? Batao toh sahi." I ask then sternly. I am in no mood for suspense.
"Manik yeh song hum album me nahi daalna chahte. Hum tujhe batana chahte the. Humne ek song prepare kiya hai. Humara 12th song." Mukti spoke.
"Ha toh koi baat nahi. Yeh song hum baad me kabhi release kar denge. Gaana achha hai n??"
They all nod. I smiled. Silly people. They must have thought i will get angry if they would tell me this. Look at their faces. Still hesitant. So what if this song cant be played in my album. I have no problem.
"Ab mujhe voh song sunaoge ki nahi??" I ask them.
They all nodded still hestitant. When will they understand i would never go against any of there decision. Never when it comes to the albums. Thats what made us all so famous. Not our songs. Not our music but our friendship. Our trust. And most importantly our support towards each other.
"Yeh le lyrics. Dekh le. Tab tak main aur Cabeer set up arrange karte hai." Dhruv gave me the lyrics. I gladly took it.
I chukled. So typical Dhruv. He knows he is the best with the lyrics. If he is okay with them. There is no need for me to go over it.
"Dhruv just sing the song already. I know the lyrics will be good. You are so positive about it. Go. Sing the song."
Dhruv looked at me with widen eyes. He smiled weakly and in a few minutes of time, they were ready with the set up, Cabeer's drum set was there. Aliya had a big mix up setup ready for her. She would be managing the tone i guess. Mukti for a change had voilen. Wow, Mukti playing voilen is the best thing. She plays it so beautifully. For once she looks like a girl. The smile on her face and the glee in her eyes. That made her look so good.
I remember once when i heard her play voilen in the music room when she was alone, she seemed so at peace. That was thw time i learned she could play 8 different types of instruments. Voilen and harmonika are few of them.
They were all at there places and Dhruv looked at me once. The look he gave me was weired. Like he was.... guilty?? I hope this song isnt a mess.
