Callie POV
I entered the foster house and made my way to the kitchen where Stef and Lena were getting dinner ready.
Callie- hey
Lena- hey honey, we didn't know you were coming over
Stef- want to stay for dinner?
Callie- I can't, I just came by to get that box of stuff you had for me..
Stef- right, I'll get it for you
Lena- how have you been feeling Callie?
Callie- pretty good physically..
Lena- and otherwise?
Callie- good.. things are.. good
Lena- good..
I could tell she wasn't buying it at all, but didn't want to push it either.
Callie- sorry.. its just.. me and Brandon are sort of at a crossroads right now
Lena- crossroads?
Callie- its just.. its been a few months since we lost the baby and.. I want to get pregnant again..
Lena- but Brandon dosen't want that?
Callie- he thinks it too soon, he thinks I'm just trying to replace the baby we lost
Lena- are you?
Callie- I don't know, I was just so happy when I was pregnant, we were so happy and I felt like I was doing something so.. important
Lena- maybe you need to find other ways to be happy, you can't depend on a baby to do that..
Brandon POV
I crawled into bed next to Callie, we had barely spoken the past few days. We remained silent as we turned off the light to go to sleep.
Callie- if.. if you want to go back to school.. I think you should do it, maybe your right.. maybe I'll think about going back for a few classes too..
Brandon- where is this coming from Callie?
Callie- I just.. was thinking about it and if we want to do something like this then.. now is the time
Brandon- what about having a baby?
Callie- I still want that, eventually..
Brandon- well.. I was thinking too
Callie- about?
Brandon- I was thinking.. if you want to have a baby, then maybe we should..
Callie- are you serious? you want to have a baby?
Brandon- I want you to have whatever you want, I want you to be happy..
Callie- I already am happy.. right here with you
I leaned in and kissed her. After we separated from the kiss, we just stared at each other for a minute.
Callie- so.. are you sure you really want to have a baby?
Brandon- yeah.. but before we start trying again, I want you to get checked out by the doctor and make sure everything's okay..
Callie- okay, I love you..
Brandon- I love you too
Callie snuggled up to me and we drifted off to sleep, listening to the rain beating softly on the roof.
