It had been two weeks since the team was first introduced to Jia Xue.
It was the President himself who had made the introduction, eyeing each and everyone there, with his sharp hawk-like eyes.
"This team had been assembled to assist Mr. Yin, who is going to be the head researcher," the president said, "please, make this team work."
Everybody nodded and bowed down in agreement with the president.
Actually, the day before they were officially introduced, the president had summoned for them to come to his office; where he introduced Yin Jia Xue, complete with his details and profiles using a powerpoint presentation; making it very clear that he will not tolerate them if them if they don't show respect to the man. And after the elaborated introduction, the team of course felt nothing but admiration and respect for them man. For someone so young; his achievements were beyond excellent. A genius indeed. A very good looking one at that.
But, seeing the man in real life; didn't even begin to do him justice. They never thought that they could see another man looking so beautifully, good looking and still looked every bit manly, after their president, the great Caleb Wang. They thought that their president was the only most beautifully, good looking and manlier than any man, man, walking the face of the earth. Now, they knew they thought wrong. Maybe, the 'manlier' bit and in the height department, their president is little bit ahead but on the physical attributes level; President Wang is being given a run for his money.
Standing next to the president; they shone like godly beings. It was almost unfair to the rest of them who was gaping at them in awed admiration.
After two weeks, the team had established quiet a bond with their head researcher. Jia Xue was quiet, soft spoken, very polite but very blunt type of person. He speaks what was on his mind but he never criticized. Even if what he was saying was a person's weakness, the way he said it, was not degrading; in fact he would give the points where they can improve and becomes better.
They had been in fact, some people in the team who were a little apprehensive, because he was so young, they were afraid that he will be overwhelmed to lead a team of slightly older researchers but no, he was in no way intimidated. He was calm and focused. He looked at everyone in the eye, and as equals. And he really regarded his work seriously. Coming in first, going out last.
