A few days later, Caleb met up with his father and his grandmother at his office. And it was a tense meeting.
The housewarming party, a few days ago had been a success. Having a meal and a good laugh with the family was able to help Caleb relax a lot.
And he'd been in a pretty calm mood for a few days now. He still woke up a few times in the middle of the night to check on Jia Xue, but he didn't have intense nightmares anymore.
But this morning, he got a package from one of his PI team (he had disposed a few teams go do the investigations of Jason Guan's attempted assassination).
His heart was pounding when he received the anonymous package, knowing that it's from his PI and knowing that it contained things that would be related to the incident that had almost cause Jia Xue his life.
As soon as he saw the content, he froze and a shiver ran down his spine. He picked up the telephone and called his personal assistant.
"Cancel all my work meetings for the rest of the day."
"Mr President..with all due respect sir, may I know w- " Secretary An tried to ask the reason why but was quickly cut off.
"Just cancel them. Period." It meant that the President will not tolerate anymore question.
Secretary An sighed and was silent for a moment then spoke with a definite, "understood sir."
The president had been rescheduling his works a lot for about half a year now. The president would either get back to all of his work later on, or do them days in advance, and he never actually neglected anything.
But it had been quiet a hassle, having to run around rescheduling and apologising and explaining to their business counterparts about the sudden change of event.
Still, that's his job after all. He is Caleb's real Secretary/PA now, because he no longer have to spy for madam Wang.
It seemed that Madam Wang had finally gotten why she wanted; which is for her grandson to settle down. And the reason for the rescheduling of the president's works too; were all due to the fact that he's now in a serious and committed relationship with someone.
