Caleb stared at Jia Xue, mesmerized, as Jia Xue began filling in the big basin using a hose connected to a nearby water tap.
Jia Xue had asked Caleb to bring down their laundry from the room earlier on. And he did. The laundry basket was full of the bedsheet and blanket and the pillow cases, which they'd messed up yesterday.
When he got down from their room, Jia Xue wasn't in the living room, and he looked around but couldn't find him.
"Caleb...Here!" He heard Jia Xue calling to him from the backyard. When he came at the doorway, he saw that Jia Xue had brought with him two big basins there.
"What's those, love?" Caleb asked, in confusion.
Jia Xue smiled, "two big basins." Jia Xue replied. Caleb sighed, is Jia Xue teasing him or is he not? Caleb couldn't even tell now; his lover had learnt so much in their one year together. Just yesterday, Jia Xue had come on to him like he had never don before.
"I know love..But what are you doing with those big basins..?" Caleb asked again, patiently.
Jia Xue smiled again, "filling one up with water." He replied and he is actually teasing Caleb. Jia Xue had learnt as much in this one year; that when he teased Caleb, it would lift his spirit. And all Jia Xue wanted to do right now, is make Caleb feel better. That's the whole purpose of the visit.
