Jia Xue saw Jason and both of them stopped on their tracks.
It had been almost two months since the last time Jason saw Jia Xue. And he had been trying so hard, to forget him.
Jason went back to Canada a few days after that attempt on his life. He was in such a mess, for a week or two, thinking about Jia Xue night and day. He was love sick. He had never loved someone like he loved Jia Xue.
But, Caleb's words when they parted ways at the police station, had been like a bullet being shot right through his heart.
Being told, that Jia Xue would save just about anybody, and that what Jia Xue did; saving Jason twice was just Jia Xue's nature and it had nothing to do with them being fated or Jia Xue doing something special.
But that wasn't even the most painful part. That night; Jason finally saw, how Jia Xue's expression changed tremendously when he looked at Caleb Wang and when he looked at other people, including him.
Jason never saw it before. But he saw it that night.
It made all his dream crumble, in an instance. He had had a few heart breaks. He thought that they're painful. But it was nothing compared to the pain he felt that night.
So, Jason Guan decided to go back to Canada. He even tried to look for someone to fall in love with, frequenting night clubs with his friends, just like he used to. But he met no one who was able to make his heart jumped even a little.
He met no one, who was able to make him forget Jia Xue.
Then, a week ago he got a phone call from the police department in Beijing, asking him if he could come, because they said that they had a few lead to the attempted assassination of his life.
He made an appointment to come today because he needed to properly arrange for a leave from work.
Jason didn't expect to see Jia Xue walking out of the police station, when he came.
"Hello.." Jia Xue was the first to Greet him, bowing down politely.
Jason smiled, bowing back to Jia Xue, "hello..How are you doing?" He asked, not able to resist asking,wanting to prolong the meeting. He really missed seeing Jia Xue in real life.
Jason had been dreaming about the man for weeks. Ad seeing Jia Xue in reality like this, it's no wonder, he couldn't find anybody who excited him. Jia Xue is everything he ever wanted in a man. Nobody could beat Jia Xue in the looks department, let alone in his aura and in his mental capacity. Not just anybody, would be able to take Jia Xue's spot in Jason's heart. It would have to be someone better or at least on par with Jia Xue.
"I'm fine..Thank you for asking..." Jia Xue was also smiling genuinely at Jason, "and you, sir?"
"I guess I'm fine too.." Jason smiled back, taking Jia Xue's smile and engraving it into his memory. Actually he's not fine in the heart department, but he'd told himself that he wouldn't talk about that anymore. Especially not to Jia Xue.
