The incident, where Jia Xue saved Jason Guan from a certain death by a sniper, was known by the whole Wang family, a week later.
At first, it was only Caleb's grandmother and father who knew about the incident.
They'd been trying to keep it between themselves, not wanting to alarm the rest of the family.
But after discussing about it, they finally decided to tell the rest of the family, for the same reason that Caleb decided to tell his grandmother at first; rather than them hearing from the press it's better when they heard it from the family.
And sure enough, Caleb's mother was beyond herself with worry and so does Caleb's sister. And after both ladies feel that they didn't get enough explanation from Caleb's grandmother and father, they stormed into Caleb's office demanding to know what had really happened. And of course demanding to know why Caleb decided not to tell them first. Both ladies were hysterical.
"This is exactly why we'd been having second thoughts of telling you guys.." Caleb muttered.
"What do you mean?" His mother looked very hurt, "second thoughts? We love Jia Xue too..of course we should know!"
"Yes! And Gran and Dad didn't tell us much!" His sister agreed with their mother.
So the two ladies thought that the best way was to corner Caleb, to know what had happened.
Caleb sighed. He was just beginning to recover from the terrifying ordeal of almost losing Jia Xue. It took him days to stop trembling whenever the thought came back to him.
And even now, he's still having trouble sleeping because he kept waking up and checking that Jia Xue is beside him, and that Jia Xue's breathing.
Caleb is the last person they hoped to give them comfort right now.
"There they are..As we had expected.." Caleb's office door was pushed open, and his Gran and father walked in.
Caleb breathed in a sigh of relief. His saviours. He never knew how to deal with hysterical people. Neither his mother nor sister had ever been this hysterical before.
It proved just how much, Caleb's mother and his sister had really fallen for Jia Xue. Both of them loved Jia Xue like family. That's why they're being this hysterical.
Caleb could understand their situation. He really is thankful but he doesn't know how to deal with them, being this hysterical. Especially with his own not so normal emotion, right now.
So, seeing his grandmother and his father coming just minutes after his mother and his sister came storming in was a blessing.
Both women winced as they saw Madam Wang and Caleb's father walking in.
"We specifically told you not to disturb Caleb.." Madam Wang looked at her daughter in law and grand daughter.
