The car went to a screeching halt. Her driver almost cursed but managed to bit down the words, as their eyes met through the rear mirror.

"What happened?" She enquired.

"I'm sorry madam." Just now some small boys just ran across the road, and I didn't see them. A man suddenly came out of nowhere and shielded the boys."

"What?" Madam Wang frowned.

"There," her driver pointed to the man who was bringing the boys to the road side. And a woman there was crying, as she knelt and hugged the boys. She then stood up and bowed down to the man.

"Either he's a fool for willing to sacrifice his life just like that or he's a fool to think that he could survive if I'd really ran him down.." her driver still muttered under his breath.

Madam Wang was still looking at the man, who's by now walking away after patting the boys' hair, oblivious to the scene he'd just created. Some crowd of people were forming around, looking and pointing at him.

What a very good looking young man. Indeed..And to be doing something like that in these days and age, is completely unheard of.

Selfless. That's a virtue unknown to most people nowadays. She had not seen an act of selflessness like that in a very long time.

Madam Wang arrived at the university after stopping by to have her breakfast at her favourite cafe. She had been mulling over what happened since it happened.

She's coming in for her monthly special lecture with the botanical department students. She's a little early, but she preferred it that way.

She walked into the Hall, where she'd resume her lectures once every months.

And she stopped in her track when she saw someone on the lecture stage.

He was adding the equations to the theory she had written a month ago, and left there for her students to ponder. It's the theory of the possibility of plants outlasting animals on Earth.

Madam Wang watched open mouthed when the man went on to dig into the theory and presented a few different scenarios, of what will actually happen if that was the case.

Then, the man took a few steps back, assessing his answer.

Madam Wang clapped her hands. What the man did with the theory was so incredible even she hadn't thought about it that way.

In all her 50 years of being a university lecturer, she had never met a brighter mind.

"Impressive!!"

The man turned around in surprise.

"Oh!" The man bowed down, "sorry..I took liberty in coming and writing..." He wanted to erase what he'd written, but Madam Wang raised her hands to stop him.
