"Sir..?" Secretary An, stood up when he saw his boss opened the door of his office and walked out, putting his jacket on.
"I'm off to lunch early." Caleb said; secretary An looked at his watch and it was just a little after 10.
He would have retorted something about, working according to the office hours, even if he's the boss, if the boss's face wasn't so scary.
Caleb was scowling. His expression was dark. Secretary An knew better than to say anything to him in that state.
"Yes, sir." Secretary An, nodded as he sat back down on his seat.
Caleb walked quickly towards his private elevator. Then went straight to the parking area to get his car.
He drove straight to the Wang Medicinal Research Facility. It's a fifteen minutes drive from his office but, he often took ten minutes only to get there.
Today, Caleb parked in front of the security office, instead of going straight to the facility's parking area.
The security personal opened the door for him, and Caleb walked in.
"Where is the package?" Caleb asked.
"Here you are sir." The security personal handed in the box to Caleb.
" We have checked for contamination, and found none.."
Caleb nodded. On the box, a card was tied, to its ribbon.
'To my beloved Jia Xue, with love from JG.' The writing on the card was enough to make Caleb grit his teeth.
Who's this Jason Guan calling his beloved? Jia Xue is nobody else's beloved but mine! Caleb fumed.
The man even had the audacity to try to send Jia Xue a present to his work place? This is a research facility. Not a thing could go through without being thoroughly inspected and checked.
"Thank you," Caleb bowed to his security personnels and then brought the box out.
He opened the door of the back seat of his car and threw the present unceremoniously inside.
He breathed in and out a few times. Trying to get his temper under control. He had warned Jason Guan very clearly never to contact Jia Xue ever again. And it seemed that it took about two weeks for Caleb's warning to expire.
After calming himself a bit, Caleb drove into the facility, to the underground parking area. Then he took the elevator to Jia Xue's working station.

Jia Xue sensed Caleb's presence just as soon as Caleb came in. Even though he had tried not making any sound at all, and he even signalled to the rest of Jia Xue's team, not to make any sound.
"What are you doing here, Mr President?" Jia Xue asked. Throwing the Mr President at Caleb to tease him.
Something Jia Xue is getting a little better at; teasing Caleb.
