"Let me send the guys out.." Jia Xue said to Caleb as the guys said good nights and were preparing to leave.
Caleb nodded. And looked on, as Jia Xue walked out with his team.
"Congrats, team leader!" Jin put his hand around Jia Xue's shoulders, as they came to the lobby.
"Yes!" The rest of the guys went on to shake his hands.
"You're unbelievable.." they laughed, teasing Jia Xue further, "you managed to do the impossible."
Now that they're out of the president's prying eyes they could finally be more open and tease Jia Xue.
They couldn't and wouldn't dare to say anything more during dinner because they still didn't know how to act around the president.
He might be their team leader's lover but that man is still their president.
"How did it happen..?"
Jia Xue was blushing. And the guys shook their head. They should have known, about their team leader and the president when their always cool and calm Team leader changed his expression only when the president was around.
They should have caught up with it, when they saw how their team leader's poker face changed whenever the president is mentioned.
Yet, they didn't. They thought it was because Jia Xue was feeling bothered like the rest of them. Oh, yes. He was feeling bothered always but in the way they thought.
"So..Living together..? Are you..?" Jin couldn't believe it. Their innocent teal leader who seemed to have nothing in his mind but research and his grandmother whom he constantly talked about; has a lover. And his lover is one of the most eligible bachelor in the country.
Jia Xue blushed even more. He didn't know how to react to that kind of questions. He was still just beginning to understand these things himself.
"Stop it Jin." Mr. Hwang patted the excited younger man's shoulder knowing full well that Jia Xue is not only shy but also still in daze over everything.
"Let him be." The older, wiser man smiled at Jia Xue. Jia Xue smiled back in gratitude.
Then he looked at all of his team members, Mr Hwang, Jin, Liang Er, Andy, Kim and Eron. Are they really alright having a man who is in a relationship with another man, as their team leader?
"You guys are okay with this?" Jia Xue asked, straight forwardly, "I am with another man. Not your typical kind of relationship isn't it?"
His team eyed him, sensing there's more.
"I am not afraid. Neither am I feeling that this is something I have to be embarrassed about." Jia Xue continued, truthfully, "but I need to know if this means you cannot work with me like you used to. It would hinder us from doing our work properly."
"Maybe because the president is there so you cannot answer truthfully. But this is just me asking you now. If you aren't okay with this, I will ask for you to be transferred back to the company division."
Their team leader is amazing. He is young. But he is amazing. He has as this poker face. But he is amazing. He treated everybody with respect and he demanded it in return. He made no mistake about that.
"This doesn't surprise me at all..My brother is happily married to the man of his dream.." Jin answered matter-of-factly, as Jia Xue looked at him in surprise.
The rest of the team nodded, "yeah..we're all there at his brother's wedding.."
So that's why this didn't faze them. Jia Xue sighed in relief. This isn't something new for them.
