You Are My Forever

Chapter 11 : Confession

"The guys would freak out." Jia Xue said quietly, as they sat down on the private couch, with Caleb's hand tightly holding Jia Xue's hand.

"Your team?" Caleb asked.

"Yes.." Jia Xue nodded, "they had been complaining about you coming down to check on us everyday.."

"I did not come to check on them.." Caleb said, "I came to see you.."

Jia Xue blushed, "I know that.." he knew it now, but his team doesn't.

"Perhaps it would be better if you don't follow us everywhere.." Jia Xue said. His team would stress out with Caleb, the president being around watching them.

"And where would I go?" Caleb demanded, "Should I just stay in the room on my own then? No way..!!!" Caleb followed Jia Xue because he wanted to spend every single seconds with the man.

"I've booked a room at the Oriental Hotel..for us.." Caleb just remembered about it.

Jia Xue more or less expected it though, Caleb is the president, he couldn't possibly stay in a dormitory like them. And because Jia Xue is his lover, of course he expected Jia Xue to stay with him.

Now, it's a tricky situation, because he had told the guys that he would be staying with them. They also have night field trip to the jungle to observe night time plants.

"Jia Xue.."  Caleb said, tightening his hold on Jia Xue's hand, "how about we tell the guys the truth..?"

Jia Xue gasped, as looked at Caleb in shock.

'Do you really dislike it?" Caleb asked, feeling his heart sank as he saw Jia Xue's expression.

"I wasn't planning on keeping us a secret for too long, you know.." Caleb sighed, "but I had to think about your professional reputation too. With us being together, people would bound to think that it would affect my judgement."

Jia Xue frowned, "that does not affect me at all.." Caleb's eyes went huge- because he just couldn't believe it.

"So, why are you reluctant to open up about our relationship to your team?" Caleb asked, in confusion.

"I was thinking that perhaps it's better for you, because..." Jia Xue, bit his lip, he had no choice but to tell Caleb the truth, he didn't have it in him the conviction to lie.

"I think..You'd get bored of me soon.." The president will surely get angry over this, he knew, "because I don't know how or what to do as your lover..I couldn't think much when I'm around you...So, the less people know about us..The better it will be for you...You can leave me anytime..Without feeling guilty.."

Caleb's mouth fell open. It was the worst. Even more worse than the worst. Never in a million years could he have imagined that that was what Jia Xue was thinking.

"Yin Jia Xue!" Caleb said through trembling lips, his feelings were almost shattered. He felt tears of pain welling up his eyes as his heart almost broke to thousand pieces.

"Which part of the fact about me loving you, that you don't understand?" He asked quietly. Looking into the eyes of the beautiful man, who hold all his heart in his hands and didn't even know it.

"What do you mean?" Jia Xue knew that Caleb was disappointed in his lack of trust in him, and he didn't even know how to answer Caleb's question. Because truthfully, he never ask himself about it too. Jia Xue was too muddled up in his own emotions for him to think about anything else.

"When I said I love you..What do you think it meant..!" Caleb knew and he understood that Jia Xue couldn't help being the way he was, because he had never fallen in love with anybody else before. But it still hurt like hell.
