"I don't believe you."
Caleb looked at the woman sitting in front of him; as he sipped on his coffee, calmly.
He'd expected this much from Zhu Li. After all, when they parted ways in university, he was still very much a ladies man. He had not expressed any interest in men, yet.
And though he didn't find the thought of a man being with a man wrong, and that he does appreciate good looking men, he never actually been tempted by another man, before he met Jia Xue .
"You've seen it, what other proof do you want?"
"But, Caleb..You've never been with a man for as long as I've known you. " Zhu Li saw the incident in the club alright, she's there. When witnessed it first hand, how Caleb kissed that man, who had accepted the singing duel with her and WON.
She couldn't believe her own eyes, but it did happen. It really did happen.
"I've changed. We haven't met for years..." Caleb smiled.
"I still don't believe it."
Caleb looked at Zhu Li who was still in denial.
When she called his office and asked to meet over for a drink, he hesitated for a bit but he saw no harm in accepting a drink with an old friend.
He knew he'd have to make it clear to her. Just in case she really still has the thought of getting back together with him.
And from the looks of things. She probably has that thought.
"Isn't it just a fling?" Zhu Li asked, "you know..maybe you just want to try something new.."
"I'm serious about him. I'd never been more serious about anyone as much as him." Caleb saw the disbelief and distrust on Zhu Li's face.
"I have met his family..and I have brought him to meet mine." There, that's the biggest proof he could give to show how serious he is about Jia Xue.
Calling his feelings for Jia Xue, a fling really made Caleb irritated. Nobody has the right to belittle his feelings, and certainly not a woman whom he hadn't seen for years.
