Special Plans (Pt. 1)

I sigh and flop on the couch. It had been a few weeks since we had gotten Melody back and taking care of her is exhausting.

Gene walks into the living room, "She's finally asleep."

I groan. "She doesn't like meee..."

"Why do you say that?"

"She never stops crying when she's with me! The moment she sees you she shuts up!" I whine.

"I'm just that likable." He smirks.

I glare at him and cuddle up in a blanket.

He sighs, "Hey. Why don't we get a babysitter for Melody tonight? We can go out to dinner.."

I shrug. "Mkay. But who would want to babysit the demon child?"

He smiles, "Aphmauuuuu.."

I jump up and call her.

Y-Y/N A-Aphmau

Y- Hey Aph.
A- Hi Y/N! How is everything?
Y- Good ig.
A- :)
Y- Can you babysit Melody for Gene and I tonight?
A- YES YES YES!
A- I THOUGH YOU'D NEVER ASK!

I laugh, "Aph's on board."

~Time Skip to Later~

I step out of the bedroom wearing a short maroon  dress and my hair down in curls.

I pick Melody up off to couch and cuddle her to my chest while waiting for Aphmau to arrive.

"GEEEENE!" I yell.

"WHAAAAT?!" He shouts back from the kitchen. 

I smile, "I LOVE YOU!"

He laughs and walks into the living room. "Right back at ya."

The doorbell rings and I jump up, opening it.

HOLD UP PEEPS, I NEVER SHOWED YOU A PICTURE OF MELODY KXNS LET ME SHOW YOU THIS BEAUTIFUL BABY:

Aphmau jumps in and hugs me, then quickly retracts. "I probably squished the baby!"

I smile and shake my head. "Melody's fine."

"Aw... she's such a cutie!" Aphmau giggles, taking her away from me.

"Yeah." I laugh.

Gene walks over to us, "If you need anything, you have my number. She should be in bed by 9:30."

Aphmau smile, "Alright! Have fun!"

We nod and walk out the door. Gene glances at me, "Did I mention how stunning you look tonight?"

"No, because my stunning-factor tonight is non-existent." I shrug.

He rolls his eyes and twirls me. "That couldn't be further from the truth."

We hop into his jeep and start driving. "Where exactly are we going?"

"Well, since it was on such short notice- I couldn't get reservations. The place we're going is a surprise, though."

I pout. "Whyyy?"

"Because~" He laughs.

"Close your eyes!" Gene smile.

"They are closed."

"Oh." He guides me somewhere.

"Open em'."

I open my eyes to see the park. "Gene! This is the place where-"

He nods. "Mhm."

He takes my hand and walks over to a blanket on the ground. I look up and the moonlight shines through the leaves above us.

He smiles. "Nice, isn't it?"

I nod my head and smile.

Meanwhile Back At The House With Aphmau

Aphmau's POV~

"Melody stop it!" I cry.

She puts her hands on her hips, "You're not my boss!"

"You keep getting bigger!" I whine. "This isn't normal!"

"I want daddy!" The seven year old pouts.

"You weren't even two when you last saw him!" I shout, panicking.

She flips her pigtails. "I want daddy! Now!"

Back To Y/N's POV

"Who's calling?" I tilt my head.

He shrugs and answers it. "Hello? Aphmau?!"

He hangs up after a few seconds and sighs stressfully. "Something's wrong with Melody.. we gotta get home."

I frown, "Alright."
