Spying

It's been a few days since I had hypothermia, but Gene is still hovering over me.

"Gene, I'm fine. I'm fine." I groan.

"At least dress a little warmer, maybe a sweater?" He suggests.

"Really? It's 102° outside..." I sigh.

He shrugs, "Better safe than sorry."

"Do you want me to have a heat stroke?" I ask in a passive-aggressive tone.

"No.." He sighs, "I just wanna make sure you're safe..."

I grab his shirt collar and pull him towards me, "I'm fine."

He smiles and kisses me softly. I melt into the kiss and continue until my lungs scream for air. I pull away, breathing heavily.

He smirks, "Why'd you stop?"

"Because, I've gotta meet with Aphmau~" I smirk.

"Just skip and stay with me baby~" He pleads.

"Nope!" I tease, kissing his cheek and walking out the door, suddenly remembering what day it was.

I whip around and run back inside. "WAIT!"

Gene jumps five feet in the air, "Really?!"

I cross my arms, "Today is the day you're supposed to go with Aaron."

"I was hoping you'd forget about that.." He sighs.

"Nope. I'll stay here if you do." I suggest.

He frowns and considers it, "I can't do that.."

"Come on! You're gunna get hurt there..." I sigh.

"I may, but not to badly. Mr. and Mrs. Lycan will be there.." He assures me.

"But I won't be!"

"It's not safe for you.." He frowns.

"And it's somehow safer for you?!"

"Y/N, I don't want to argue.. I have to go.." He sighs and walks out the door.

I groan loudly, "I swear to Irene! This guy... URGH!"

Then I think, Wait... what if I am there? I smirk and call Mrs. Lycan.

She answers, "This is Misses Lycan, what do you need?"

"Hi Mrs. Lycan, it's Y/N Shadow. Gene's wife? Yeah. Today is his first day with Aaron, correct?" I ask politely.

"Yes, of course it is."

"You wouldn't mind me... coming too? Would you?" I beg.

"I don't know... does Gene know about this?" She responds.

I hesitate, "Uhm... no. I just want to be there for him in case he gets hurt.. But if he knew, he'd probably kill me."

She laughs, "You can come down. I completely understand."

"Thank you Mrs. Lycan." I smile and hang up, running out the door and down the street to the Lycan's mansion.
