summary : in which Ethan takes you onto the Ferris wheel not knowing of your fear of heights.

The smell of popcorn and cotton candy filled your nostrils as you walked through the fair hand in hand with Ethan. The walkways were packed with families, teens and couples all headed in different directions.

Ethan walked ahead of you and you realized this scene would make a great photo. You pull your phone out of your pocket and snap a photo of Ethan holding your hand and the colorful scenery that surrounded him.

After you stuff your phone back in your pocket Ethan points at a large stand.

"Babe I found it" he stated proudly. You looked at the large stand which read, "DEEP FRIED OREOS". You started to laugh and to this, Ethan was very confused. "What's so funny?" His eyebrows furrowed. "It's just funny how when you said you were gonna take me to your favorite place in the fair I already know it was gonna be a good place" you shook your head as your laugh died down. "You know me so well" he teased while he planted a kiss on your cheek.

"So deep fried Oreos huh?" You question while examining the enlarged pictures on the stand. "Trust me, this will change your life" He said eagerly. "Whatever you say E" you say while wrapping your arm around his bicep.

Ethan proceeded to order two plates of deep fried Oreos for the two of you. He didn't hold back when the lady asked for toppings either, he ordered chocolate sauce, sprinkles and whipped cream stating that you needed to get the "full experience".

Now you were both at a table ready to eat the Oreos. "Wait (Y/N) let me put you on Snapchat" Ethan stopped you. "This plate looks like it's going to put me into cardiac arrest" you joke making Ethan laugh. He focused his phone on you and started speaking.

"So I decided to take (Y/N) to get only the most amazing thing at the fair. Deep fried Oreos" you showed the camera your pile of Oreos. "Okay go for it babe" he motioned. You pop one in your mouth and you had to admit it was pretty darn good. You give the camera two thumbs up and pop another one in your mouth. He puts his phone away and starts eating his Oreos.

"They're good huh?" He smirked. You groaned and nodded in much approval. He chuckled and looked around the fair. "Hey (Y/N)" he said. "Hmm" you reply, mouth full. "Wanna go into a maze next?" You nod eagerly, mazes being your favorite thing at the fair.

You finish your plate of Oreos and damn what a shock you want more. Ethan still had one more on his plate. You tried to be sly and take the Oreo but sure enough he caught you.

"Whatcha doin there?" He asked. "Oh nothing just-" you cut yourself off and in one swift motion grabbed his Oreo and tossed it in your mouth. "Babe!" He exclaimed shocked. You gave him one of those I'm so sorry but so adorable looks and he caved in. "I'm sorry" you smiled sweetly. "You're lucky I love you" he said with a roll of his eyes. You give him a cheeky grin and take his hand, leading him to the superhero themed maze.

You let the man at the front scan your wristbands and you walk onto the maze. These were your favorite rides because it was fun and it didn't make you sick. Ethan was behind filming you as you past the silly mirrors giggling at Ethan's appearance. "Look at you" you laughed while Ethan turned the camera to his mirror. He started laughing but stopped you in your tracks. "Look at you" and you turned to see yourself with a awfully large neck and legs. You laughed while shaking your head.

You both completed the maze and it was getting pretty dark. All the carnival lights popped out even more in the darkness. "I know what we're going on" Ethan says before pulling you to another ride.

He drags you into a line for a ride but then you see what ride it is and your eyes widen. It's the Ferris wheel.

Not a tiny Ferris wheel but a 100 ft. Ferris wheel.

"We'll get a great view when we're up there" he points to the top. It's so high you have to lift your head all the way back to see it. "Ethan I-" he cuts you off, "It's always been my dream to go on a Ferris wheel with my girlfriend" he blushed. You had a fear of heights but you didn't wanna ruin Ethan's dream.

You take a deep breath and he realizes he cut you off. "Oh my god (Y/N) I'm so sorry, you were saying?" "I was just gonna say I" You swallowed the gulp in your throat. "I can't wait to get on" you lied through your teeth.

He smiled widely and intertwined your fingers. It felt like years before you and Ethan were next. The lady scanned your wristbands and pointed you to the first guy in front of you. He let they people out of their cart and let you in. Ethan got in and reached his hand out for you. You hesitantly grab his hand and step in. He closes the glass door and now you're trapped in this glass cage that is about to be suspended 100 ft above ground.

You close your eyes and snuggle into Ethan's side. Just thinking you were resting he wraps his arm around you. It only takes a few minutes till you both are at the peak of the wheel. "Babe open your eyes look" he taps your shoulder.

You open your eyes and scream automatically at how high you guys are. "Oh my god are you okay?" He freaked out. "I-I'm afraid of h-heights, oh my god-d" you stuttered, unable to spit the words out. "Why didn't you tell me, we could've gone on something else" he said sadly.

"Here look at me hold my hand" he said. You look at him as he holds your hand. "You're gonna be okay I'm right here, you're safe" he says soothingly. You take deep breaths and cling onto Ethan like there's no tomorrow.

"I'm so sorry I put you in this ride" he sighed. "It's my fault I should've told you" you whisper. He starts rubbing your back and playing calm, chill music on his phone. You open your eyes and take in all the lights. Even though you were terrified beyond words, you couldn't deny that the view was stunning. You didn't realize that Ethan took a bunch of photos of you, lost in a gaze.

"I hate to admit it but the view is beautiful" you mumble. "That's not the only view that's beautiful" he says cheesy. You soon reach the bottom and you have a notification. You open it to see Ethan posted a photo of you staring at all the lights. "a beautiful view" read the caption. You blushed hard and got up on your tippy toes to kiss Ethan. "I love you E" you smile. "I love you too." He says.
