summary : in which your crush goes to the school play with his friends for extra credit to discover the girl playing the lead role is pretty damn beautiful.

Grayson's Pov :

"James no," I pulled my arm away from his grasp trying to go back to messaging my friend about practice.

"Oh come on Grayson!" Emma whines along with Ethan backing her up.

"It's just a 2 hour play and it's for extra credit in Miller's class which you know you need," Ethan made a good point.

But there was no way I was going to go to the school musical.

Usually only geeks went and the show was a snooze fest.

I'd rather be at the gym training or on the field practicing my throws.

"I'm not going to the play tomorrow, sorry, you guys can go," I concluded before standing up and leaving to go to practice.

Walking away I heard their sighs of defeat and footsteps grow further away from me.

I wasn't gonna he caught dead at this play for any reason.

At least that's what I thought up until this moment.

"Grayson you can't play anymore games, home or away," coach said bluntly.

"What why? I'm the starting quarterback coach I have to play," I got up out of my chair upset and not ready to give up the season.

"Well Grayson I can't do anything about it until you get your grade up in Miller's. It's the principle's rule. So get your grade up to a C and then you're back on that field but till then, drop the weights and hit the books," coach slammed down my recent report card before leaving the office.

My hands unclenched and I let out a deep sigh running my fingers through my hair.

I guess I was going to a play.

Your Pov :

"The doors open in 20 minutes people so let's run the last number!" Your drama director screamed to the cast and the sound people.

The music to 'we go together' played and you and Weldon stood in the back getting ready for your characters to come through.

The nerves were going crazy.

This was your first play with the theatre company of the year and your first play as a lead.

Mrs. Mandy the theatre director chose you as the lead because of your stunning voice.

Nobody could hit the notes like you in "hopelessly devoted to you," is what she'd say.

You also knew all of the dances and songs by heart, Grease being your favorite movie ever.

You knew the crowd would be mainly parents, a few teachers and some students but it was never anyone you hoped.

Grayson, the captain of the football team, star quarterback.

Him and his popular friends would never show up to the show, but it was no surprise to you.

Having the biggest crush of Grayson, a guy who's never talked to you or even looked your way was difficult also considering he had all the girls after him.

The song finished and your friend Irene, who was playing Frenchy came up to you squealing.

"Eeekk! I'm so excited let's go finish your hair, the doors open soon," she dragged you to the dressing room.

You've never had your hair styled like this or your makeup done the way it was.

It was as if the actual Sandy Olsson was in the mirror.

Irene proceeded to do your hair and you heard the house speakers begin to play the song, 'Grease' which meant people were entering the house and you had to be in place in 10 minutes.

It was showtime.

Grayson's Pov :

"Well look who decided to show up!" I heard James yell as he calm me up to me tanking my arm to join them in line.

Ethan and Emma began to crack up as I laughed and shook my head.

"Shut up would you, I'm only here so that I can play football, I can't play a game till I pass Miller's and this play is the only way I can pass like now," I rolled my eyes.

"Stop we know you love Grease, especially when your hair is full of it," Ethan joked making the other two laugh.

I punched my brother's arm and scoffed.

"I'm gonna go to sleep someone just tell me what it's about so I can get this extra credit," I spoke while giving the student my ticket.

The kid looked shocked to see me there but I don't blame him I'd be shocked too.

The boy slowly handed me a paper booklet thing for the play I think I don't know to be honest.

I took it out of his hands and then gave it to Ethan, walking into the theatre to find us four a seat.

Quickly finding empty seats since there wasn't much people I sat down, ready to snooze.

However I only got about 10 minutes for sleep when the lights went out and music started.

"Get up!" James smacked the side of my head making me groan in pain.

I didn't have to time to respond when the theatre teacher came out dressed in the ugliest scarfs.

Shockingly I was too tired and bored to laugh.

She smiled widely at the not even half full audience and began to introduce the musical which is Grease.

Suddenly a bunch of boys came out dressed as the T-Birds but they were lacking hair gel and muscle.

They began to attempt to act like the bad boys to which I let out a little laugh since it was just terrible.

About 10 minutes passed of the T Birds talking about their summer and me holding back laughter due to their exaggerated accents and acting.

A girl came out and began to talk.

"Come on Sandy, I can't wait to show you Rydell!" She squealed in a high pitch voice.

"I don't know Frenchy," a voice sounded before a girl stepped out.

Suddenly I was awake.

She had her hair up in a ponytail and wore a big skirt, a white shirt and a cardigan.

Did this girl go to our school?

There's no way. How could I miss someone this stunning?

The other three noticed my suddenly stunned expression and my new focus.

Well I'll be damned.

Maybe coming to this play wasn't such a bad idea.

I'm watching Grease right now actually 😂😂
