summary : in which Grayson and Ethan compete for your affection, may the best twin win.

It has been three days since your date with Grayson.

You needed time to really contemplate.

Both boys were amazing and you couldn't have imagined any date going better.

But there was only one guy stuck in your mind after the three days.

It was Grayson.

The way you both connected still gave you butterflies even a few days after.

His smile, the way he'd make you laugh, and just him in general. You knew he was the one for you.

But how would you break it to Ethan?

The twins didn't bother you for the past three days knowing that you needed time. They were at home anxious, each hoping that you picked him over the other.

Sat on your bed you fiddled with your fingers.

It was time.

"Hey Ethan I'm ready to give you my answer, meet me at the bumblebee cafe?" You messaged Ethan.

"Yea what time?" He replied quickly.

"In about an hour" you messaged, nerves already rising.

You put your phone down and began to get ready.

You curled your hair and applied some natural makeup. Once all that was done you put on a simple graphic T-shirt and a pair of jeans.

Throwing your backpack on you hopped downstairs.

"Hey mom I'm gonna go hang out with the twins for a bit I'll be back by noon" you called out placing your phone in your back pocket.

"Okay bye dear" she called back.

The cafe was only about two blocks away so you decided to walk.

You went over so many different scenarios of what you would say, what Ethan would say and so on.

Before you knew it you were in front of the cafe.

You walked inside messaging Ethan that you were there.

"I should be there soon" Ethan messaged with a smile on his face.

You ordered a cup of coffee and tapped the wooden table. God were you nervous.

Ethan came quicker than you had anticipated and you stood up eyes wide.

"Hey (Y/N) you look beautiful" he said wrapping his arms around you.

"thank you ethan" you said lowly. God were you terrified. You didn't want to lose ethan.

"So what did you want to meet me here for" he smiled holding his hands together.

You took a deep breath and started.

"So I did a lot of thinking these past few days and it was very difficult to make a decision. But I came to a decision. Ethan, I think it's best if we stay friends" you said biting your lip scared of his reaction.

He let out a breath of sadness.

"Please don't stop being my friend, I love and care about you so much-"

"Just not in that way"

"Just not in that way" you said sadly.

He looked at you with a sad smile.

"(Y/N) it's okay, I love you too. I love you as a friend, I only liked you as a crush. I'm happy for you. Grayson is gonna be so happy. Just take care of him please and I know he'll take care of you. Come here" he said getting up opening his arms.

You took his arms relieved that he wasn't totally upset.

He pet your hair soothingly while saying "it's okay, thank you for giving me an amazing night though." And with that he let you go and kissed your cheek.

"Now go get Grayson" he smiled holding your hand before he turned around and left the cafe.

It felt as if a big weight was lifted off of your back.

You called Grayson immediately after telling him to meet you at the same place.

It only took him 10 minutes to rush over to the cafe.

You saw him enter and you stood up giving him a hug.

"Hey (Y/N), wow you always look stunning" you said before sitting down.

"So Grayson, I have been thinking hard for the past few days, and I've made a decision" you said in a low tone.

The fear on his face said it all. He thought you were gonna let him down.

"I don't think we should be friends" you said making him sad but confused.

"I like you too much to just be your friend" you smiled, a blush growing on your face.

"Really?" He said his eyes widening.

You nodded vigorously and he stood up and picked you up in his arms.

"You won't regret this" He repeated over and over before kissing you passionately.

He lived up to those words. You never regretted it.
