summary : In which your boyfriend of 6 years, Ethan, is found cheating on you and you find yourself in the feeling of resentment.

It was as if your heart stopped beating.

The sight of your boyfriend of five years, your fiancé to be, making love to a woman that wasn't you.

Touching her the way he touches you. Kissing her the way he kisses you. Whispering loving words the way he whispers to you.

This wasn't a simple hook up.

This was something that had been going on for a while. You could tell by the way Ethan held her close as he moaned into her neck. Something you thought he only did with you.

The two were completely oblivious to your presence.

"Why?" Your voice cracked over the sound of moans that filled the room.

Suddenly they both stopped and the first eyes to make contact with yours was the girl below him.

She gasped shocked at your presence, failing to try and cover up under the comforter.

Ethan was next and nothing could've prepared you for the way he looked at you there and then.

His eyes were wide and in complete fear. You had caught him after he had been doing this for god knows how long.

"(Y/N)," he stood up keeping the blanket wrapped around his lower half as he tried to approach you.

"Please let me explain," he rushed but before he even had the chance to start, you were out of the door, sprinting down the hall and hurrying to you car.

Tears were streaming down your face as you sat in your car, struggling to leave.

Nothing but the constant replay of them on each other went through your mind.

You buried your face in your hands and sobs racked through your lungs which felt like they weren't functioning.

Nothing could compare to the pain you were feeling in that moment.

Clutching the steering wheel as hard as you could you struggled to even your breathing as you continued to lose control.

"(Y/N)!" A desperate voice sounded from the staircase to the parking lot.

"No!" You sobbed frantically shoving the keys in the ignition to drive off.

"(Y/N) wait please!" You heard Ethan cry out trying to run to your car but you pulled out before he had the chance.

You knew driving in the state you were in was definitely dangerous but you had to get away from Ethan.

It would be stupid to go to your family's place since that's the first place he'd look so you decided to drive to your friend's house. A friend he didn't know of.

Quickly dialing your childhood friend, Lucas's number he allowed you to stay at his place and demanded that you pull over and have him pick you up since you were in no position to drive.

After 15 minutes of sitting in your car parking on the side of the street, Lucas pulled up next to you.

Without hesitation you grabbed your bag and ran into his arms sobbing into his chest.

"Shh shh I'm sorry I'm sorry," He soothed you down.

Lucas softly ushered you into his car and drove to his apartment.
