summary : in which you were like a stone wall who seemed to have no emotions until one day that wall crumbled down.

ethan's pov :

She crumbled into my arms, bursting into tears once again. The constant flow of tears made it difficult for her to breath.

Her arms wrapped around my waist as she buried her head in my neck.

I was at a loss for words. What do you say in a situation like this?

God it broke me to see her in this state. I had always seen her as this stone cold wall. No emotion came in, no emotion came out so to suddenly see her breaking down I was at a loss.

I stroked her hair whispered many 'I'm so sorrys' into her ear.

It felt like we were sat there for hours on end just enjoying the silence when in reality we were only out there for about 30 minutes.

Her crying had seized and now all that could be heard was soft snores.

I guess the excessive amount of crying made her tired.

The bell was going to ring soon and I didn't want her stuck out her so I decided to take her to the counseling office.

I snaked my arms around her and lifted her. She was light as a feather making my trip a lot easier.

I entered the office earning a bunch of confused looks.

"Mrs. Tanners?" I whispered softly entering her office not wanting to wake (Y/N).

"Yes? Is she okay?" Her eyes widened at (Y/N) knocked out in my arms.

"Yea she just got tired from crying, can I put her in the nurses office to rest?" I asked.

She nodded and thanked me for helping (Y/N).

I walked over to the nurses office and told the nurse to contact Mrs. Tanners about why (Y/N) is in there.

I placed her softly on the bed. She groaned and snuggled into the bed whispering a 'thank you ethan'.

"I'll come see you after school" I said before getting up and leaving her to sleep.

I went on with my classes, mind often wandering off to (Y/N).

The clock was my worst enemy, moving so painfully slow. I just wanted to see (Y/N) and make sure she was okay.

The end of the day had finally arrived and I rushed to the nurses office praying that she was still there.

I opened the door and saw the room empty.

"Dammit" I muttered about to walk out when I heard another door open.

(Y/N) walked in with a paper cup filled with tea.

Her eyes were starting to puff up and her nose showed the shade of cherry red.

"Hey" I started softly.

"Hi" her voice was barely above a whisper.

"Do you want to talk? How are you feeling?" I didn't want to overstep any lines.

"Um yea but I don't want to talk about my mom I want to explain myself I guess?" She said to which I understood.

"But can we go outside like to the field? I don't want to bother the nurse" her voice cracked.

I nodded. Whatever made her feel most comfortable.

The walk to the field was silent and a little awkward. Thankfully the school was almost empty so we would have some privacy.

She led me up the bleachers where there was no one but us.

It took a while until she felt ready to talk.

"First I want to apologize" she swallowed in hard.

"For the way I spoke to you yesterday. You were just trying to be nice and I kept trying to pushy you away. I yelled and you and embarrassing you in front of everyone. For that I am truly sorry. I'm sorry for the cold demeanor I have. All the times I was rude to you, I'm sorry. I wish I hadn't become this way" she looked down ashamed.

"How did you become this way? If you don't mind my asking." I replied.

"Um not too long ago my dad left my mom and it just changed me and made it hard for me to let people in and trust people" she took a deep breath before closing her eyes.

I took the initiative and pulled her into my arms.

The wall was now down allowing me to see the real (Y/N) and the real (Y/N) is beautiful.
