based off the film : to all the boy I've loved before

but the names aren't the same as the movie.

summary : in which your secret love letters accidentally get out.

Going to school the next day was definitely an experience.

It was almost like a normal day except the fact that everyone had their eyes glued to you and everyone had your name in their mouth.

Why?

Oh it's just because the Ethan Dolan, captain of the lacrosse team, most popular boy in the school and Regina's ex boyfriend had his hand in the back pocket of your jeans.

Did I mention you two were in the middle of the cafeteria where the whole school was practically watching.

You could feel Regina's eyes glaring holes into your head as Ethan spun you around.

He sent you a cheeky smile as he pulled out a neatly folded piece of paper.

"This is for you," His voice was low just for you to hear, as he handed you the paper.

His fingers brushed your hair behind your ear as he leaned down.

"Good job."

You simply smiled at him as if he whispered something sweet in your ear as a boyfriend would.

"I'll see you after school okay?" Ethan said a little louder for people to hear.

Waving goodbye you turned on your heel, not standing the hundreds of eyes glued to you.

All eyes were on you except Vance who apparently was the only person not in the cafeteria.

This plan was working so far but only to Ethan's advantage.

Classes flew by and you were pretty sure you already forgot everything you learned.

The sun beat down on the field as you watched Ethan run across the field for his practice.

Since he was your ride home you had to wait for him.

Footsteps sounded from behind, someone was walking to come sit on the bleachers you assumed since that was the only thing in this area.

"(Y/N)," a familiar voice called you from not far.

Your breath hitched and you felt your heart skip a beat.

Slowly turning around you were faced with Vance. The one person you didn't want to talk to, at least alone.

"H-hi," you voice stumbled as you gave him a quick glance and turned your head back to Ethan hoping he would leave.

"Can I talk to you?" Vance turned the corner and sat next to you.

"Right now might not b-be the best time," your focus was now on Vance, trying to convince him to leave.

"Why? Are you busy?"

Dammit he didn't know about Ethan.

You felt your breath hitch again since you had no idea what to say.

Suddenly an arm was slung around your shoulders and you felt a weight lift off your shoulders.

"Hey man, why are you talking to my girlfriend?" Ethan glared at Vance.

He probably noticed your uncomfortableness and awkwardness.

Vance practically choked on air after hearing Ethan Dolan call you his girlfriend.

He hated Ethan while you and him were best friends and now seeing you and him dating, oh no.

"Excuse me, what? You expect me to believe that (Y/N) is your girlfriend?" Vance's voice raises slightly.

Ethan just shrugged and pulled you by your waist planting a kiss on your lips, leaving you in more shock than you were two seconds ago.

"Did I stutter?"

Vance stood there baffled since now you didn't look uncomfortable, when in reality you were just playing along.

"This is a private practice so I'm gonna ask you to leave," Ethan stood his ground, pushing you behind him slightly.

Vance blatantly scoffed with wide eyes.

"You know what?" Vance chuckled, "I'm not gonna deal with you," he stood up moving around Ethan.

"We're gonna talk later," Vance grabbed your wrist softly making sure your attention was on him.

Ethan's eyes followed Vance as he left.

"You know what practice is done early let's go get something to eat yea?" Ethan said before rounding up his boys to end practice.

Ethan changed his shirt and then took your hand, still playing the role.

With that you two were off to dinner at the corner café.

"We should set some ground rules," you took out a notebook as Ethan munched on his burger.

"Ground rules for what?" The food almost flew out his mouth making you cringe.

"For this deal, I mean we're not really dating."

Something flashed over Ethan's eyes but it quickly changed back.

"Okay whatever," he rolled his eyes.

"Rule one," you began to write down, "no kissing."

Ethan almost choked on his burger upon hearing this.

"No kissing?" He asked shocked to which you just nodded, your mind made up and not so easily changeable.

"How are people supposed to believe we're dating if I'm not allowed to kiss you?"

"We can do other things like hold hands and like hug," you tried to reason which just made Ethan laugh.

"What is this 3rd grade?"

You gave him serious eyes and shook your head, "This is non negotiable. I've never had a boyfriend and I don't want al my firsts to be fake," you wrote it down.

"Fine, then you have to come to all of my games, home and away," he smirked.

Whatever, you could deal with that.

You wrote that down as well.

After spending an hour, you had finished your contract which you and Ethan signed at the bottom.

Little did you know you would break one of the rules.
