In a land far, far away, in a kingdom long ago, on the edge of a great forest, by a small stream and rolling hills, lived a wealthy merchant. In a valley known as, Ravensworth.
He was well respected by the villages, for being kind and wise, always helping them when they needed. He lived in a large house, with his wife and baby son.
The wife was also as kind as her husband, and the baby made the days brighter, when he visited the village, as if by magic. The small family was loved by all, it was a happy time.
The boy grew happily, cared and loved by his parents, spoiled and treasured by the villagers. But before his seventh birthday, a great tragedy fell on the small family. His mother grew ill, no matter which great doctors were called, or magic used, it didn't help, and she passed.
The merchant and his son's grief knew no bounds. He withdrew from the world, hardly leaving his house or caring about anything. Months passed and nothing changed, no matter who tried to talk to him, or help, it didn't work.
Then something else came to pass, the servants came running to his room, but he cared little until he heard what they said. His son was missing. And in that moment, he realised, that he still had someone precious to care for, and what a fool he had been.
He searched for his son, the villagers came to help. As the afternoon turned to night, and lamps were lit, they ventured into the forest. Near one of the edges, there were bushes, his son loved to go with his mother, what if he had ventured there?
They found him shaking, hidden near a hollow tree, clutching a single rose. When he saw his father, he smiled, and ran to him.
"For you daddy." He said giving his father the rose. "Please don't be sad anymore daddy."
"Wayo." The merchant murmured. "Thank you."
The merchant cried, hugging the small boy. He realised he still had something so precious to love and protect.
Laughter slowly returned to the house again. Thought they still missed the precious person, they still remembered her, but know she wouldn't want them to be sad, and be happy again.
Years passed, as years do, and the child grew up, happy again. It was his twelfth birthday, when the next great dishevel happened in his life.

Wayo watched out of the window, it was his birthday tomorrow, and his father would be coming home tonight. In his letter he had written he had a big surprise for Wayo, he was excited to see what it was, and of course see his father.
He hurried outside when the carriage came into view, and as his father stepped out, he ran to hug him, and tell him all that he had missed, since he had gone on his trip.
A chuckle made him stop and look around, more people had stepped out of the carriage, a lady and two boys standing near her.
"You must be Wayo." She smiled
"My dear, come meet my son." My father took the ladys hand. "Wayo meet your new mother."
"How do you do." I said politely.
"It's nice to meet you dear." She said kissing my cheek. "Come boys, meet your new brother."
The boys came forward, to stand in front of their mother, and looked at me. They both seemed older than me, and stern.
"I'm Wayo." I said, greeting them both.
"I'm Beam, I'm the oldest." One said returning my greeting. "And this is Kit."
"Isn't this a charming birthday surprise?" My father laughed. "You always wanted someone to play with, let's all go inside."
It really was a surprise, and from that day on, life would change so very much, I had no idea.
~~~~~~Many years later~~~~~~
I looked at the pile of books, wanting to cry, but the two weren't done with me. They added two sets of homework papers, the teacher had given, and the exam essay that needed to be done.
"Make sure you do ours different to your own." Bully one said.
"Answer all the questions properly, and use different inks so the teacher can't tell." The second bully said, as he smacked my head.
"Finish reading that book, and do the essay for the report." The first carried on.
"Don't think you can run to your daddy and cry about this." The second one snapped at me. "We can get you any time we want."
I wasn't going to get any sleep again, I still had to do my homework, and the exams were coming, what if I failed? I should tell my father about this...
"I still have my own homework, this is too mu..." I stop when Bully one punches my shoulder, really hard.
"How dare you argue back! I will..."
"You will what?" A new voice says, angrily.
The boys go pale, before I can say anything, the boy who hit me is punched, he drops to the floor holding his nose.
"Don't even think about it." A new second voice adds, grabbing the boy trying to run. "You think I didn't see you smack his head?"
The other bully doubles over, as he's punched in the stomach, he drops, coughing and being sick.
"p..." I start.
"I knew something was up, you being that quiet Yo." P'Kit says checking me. "Didn't I tell you Beam."
"Yes, you did, good plan to come check on him." P'Beam says staring at the bullies. "He doesn't need to tell dad, he has us, you little ingrates."
"You touch our brother again, I'll tie you to a horse and drag you through the village." P'Kit glares. "You understand me?"
The bullies get up and run away, I look at my brothers who are standing in front of me, arms crossed.
"Why didn't you tell us Yo?" P'Beam" asks angrily.
"I didn't want to worry you, and I thought it would stop..."
"You can worry us!" P'Kit snaps. "If anything like this happens again, you come to us understand?"
I get up and hug them both, they sigh, but that means they're not mad at me anymore.
"Thanks for coming to get me." I smile.
I gather my things and walk out of the school with my brothers, I'm too old for them to come pick me up from school now, but when they show up, I still like it.
"Can we stop to have tea and cake at the café?" I ask
"Yes, enough with your adorable eyes." P'Beam laughs.
"Are they adorable p?" I try and look cute. "Can we take cake for later?"
"Yes, they are." P'Kit laughs. "And yes, you can but, only after you finish all your homework and I see the draft for your essay."
I stop in shock, that's going to take ages. "But I wanted to go pick flowers today."
"Not till it's all done." P'Kit answers. "Don't look like that, Beam and I can help you."
I drag my feet after we leave the café, but my brothers just laugh. It was a beautiful day, the sun was shining, and I wanted to go pick flowers, but my brothers said I had to do homework.
"Can't I just go for an hour?" I try again.
"No." P'Beam says immediately. "What if you prick a finger?"
When I try and give them my crying look, they cover my eyes, and make me walk in front, saying they won't fall for that today.
"You're both evil." I sigh, but they just laugh, as they drag me home.
