CH 48 - We return married

Wayo POV

My brothers have hidden behind me, Spark is edging back ready to run and when I turn towards the forest for help... the magic is keeping a distance. Even the forest is angry with me. A small part of me can't help but smile, it's good to be home.

"Not only married but to a prince." Monty gasped.

"Not just any prince, but the most sort after Kongtanin heir!" Elephant yelled.

"So, it's a prince, you should marry here Wayo, you're ours." Granny Tanner looks around the crowd who agree.

"Hey I married Prince charming you know!" P'Beam pointed still staying behind me. "He's pretty sort after too..."

"That really didn't surprise us." The twins nodded.

"What!" P'Beam snapped.

"You hated him too much p." Elephant stated. "Karma loves to play with the ones in denial, like you."

P'Beam's shocked into silence.

"We should have a few parties." Farmer Fran adds too much agreement. "With lots of drinks."

"Did our years of friendship mean nothing to you?" Monty asked his mouth trembling ready to cry.

"Listen to me Monty...."

"Three chances for me to look fabulous...how could you take that from me Yo?" He wailed. "How could you?"

Elephant pushed him away. "Wedding favours! We deserve three of them! We deserve restitution."

I was getting a headache, really these guys.

"We didn't plan it..." Ming starts.

"Silence Ming Kwan." Monty glared.

"Only P'Kit's allowed to silence me...."

But when the others look angry P'Kit pulls Ming away. I heave a sigh of relief as another carriage comes to a stop. Mine and Ming's parents step out, my mother immediately walks to my side and it doesn't take her and aunty long to calm the mob.

"It wasn't planned, but as soon as Phana and Forth arrive I will be planning a huge party to celebrate." She smiles. "And I know its late, but please accept these favours."

"After years of putting up with Ming's courting, we will also celebrate with a party for everyone." Aunt Dee adds to much cheering.

"What do you mean putting up with me?" Ming asks looking hurt. "P'Kit what did she mean?"

"She meant all the help they gave you." P'Kit smiles.

"She meant all things you pull..." P'Kit silence P'Beam before he can say anymore.

My father and uncle stay far away, letting their wives handle the situation. P'Lee appears with boxes full of small bags for everyone, Monty manages to take three, while he ooh and ahhs looking inside. Mother has the rest of the village in hand, walking towards the other side of the square where P'Lee has prepared tables packed with food. I no longer question how he manages it.

"What happened Yo?" P'New asks.

"Are you pregnant?" Monty asks looking me up and down. "You look fatter."

"Give those back." I glare. "And where's my red packet?"

"I give you my blessing." Monty pats my head. "You married a prince, don't be greedy."
