A/N:

Are you guys having trouble with Wattpad? I had a slight panic attack when I couldn't load my story bookmark, which became a full-fledged panic attack, when it said my profile page had been removed. And then Wattpad stopped working... I didn't have a paper bag, so used the empty cookie one, and nearly choked on a chocolate chip...

Moral of story, check the cookie bag is empty before you use it everyone... >.<

Thank god, its working again, and here's the next chapter, enjoy <3

I hurry down the road, carrying the basket and list of things I need to get from the village. Randomly taking a look over my shoulder, to make sure I'm not being followed.

Mother always rather one of the servants go, or if it has to be me, I should take a carriage, I had run out while she was busy talking to father. If a carriage would come down the road, it wouldn't surprise me.

I was sure by the time I had things done, my brothers should be back from town, with their business done. I wanted to come back with them, they had been away for nearly a week, and I had missed them.

I see a cloaked figure, sitting in the shade, leaning against the trunk of the tree. I quickly run to him when he flops over, thinking he's unwell.

But when I turn him, he's just snoring. "Oi! You call this a bed? You stupid best friend."

He sits up snorting and looks around dazed. When he sees me, he grins and jumps up, hugging me.

"Yo... I missed you." He's near tears.

"Who told you to be a hero and go save people?" I can't help smiling.

"You did!" He says looking shocked. "I quote "Ming Kwan, you are the kindest person to grace this world, and you should use your talent, of fighting, to help people." End quote."

"I did not." I roll my eyes. "I said good job saving that sheep."

"Really?" He looks confused. "You're sure?"

"Very." I laugh.

We head into the village together, he starts chatting about the places he had been. I loved this part, hearing stories of what he had done, I couldn't go with him, my parents wouldn't allow it, so I live vicariously through my best friend.

He is the son of the Regional Lord, he doesn't live far, and we have been best friends since we could walk. I miss him when he's gone, but his father sends him when important things need to be done.

"They wanted you to do what?" I yell.

"Rescue a damsel, and kill a dragon". He says chomping on the biscuits I gave him.

"Ming! You didn't kill a dragon, did you?" I ask horrified.

"Of course not." He rolls his eyes. "I talked to her. She was very reasonable to be honest, and even gave me tea."

"So what happened?" I ask walking again.

"The damsel wasn't a damsel, but a witch. She had a spell cast over the lord of the valley."

"How terrible," I say.

"The dragon wanted me to kill the witch." He sighs. "Her magic was making the dragon sneeze, which was causing her to set things on fire."

"Did you?" I stop again.

"No Yo." He rolls his eyes. "I convinced her to end the spell and let the lord be. After some thinking she agreed, the lord wasn't as good in bed as she thought, so she left."
