CH 10 - The Beast

I wake up in my room, my head hurts as I remember what happened yesterday. I fell and he caught me, but he was a beast! But the voice was my strangers? But he wasn't a beast before, but now he was one? When my head hurts more I stop thinking.

I had walked back home, thinking and worrying. What could have happened to him? I get up quickly when I hear a name shouted.

"MING KWAN!"

"You look so cute with bed hair P'Kit." You can hear the glee in his voice.

"God, your sickening Ming, go home sometimes would you." P'Beam sighs.

"P'Beam! Stop interfering in my romance." Ming shouts.

"Stop shouting at my brother." P'Kit snaps.

"But p, he was being mean to me, I just wanted to see you!" Ming whines. "I might have to go soon for the egg and..."

"You what?" P'Kit stops his rant.

I open my door, I can see them outside P'Kit's room, P'Beam's leaning on the wall. It's a good thing we have the whole wing to ourselves, the furthest from mother and father, or this would get embarrassing.

"Yes. P'Sing helped, we found a nest with an egg."

"You could have declined my challenge." P'Kit says looking away.

"Why would I p?" Ming smiles. "This way it's definitely a yes, and wedding bells."

"Get ready to wear a dress, Ming." P'Beam smirks.

"If it's for my P'Kit, I will!" Ming says happily.

"Why are you always an idiot?" P'Kit sighs.

He walked into his room but didn't close the door. Before P'Beam can do anything, I run over to Ming, shove him into P'Kit's room and shut the door. P'Beam tuts me, is about to go in, when I give him my sad puppy eyes.

He chuckles and shakes his head at me. "That's not nice Yo."

I listen outside. P'Kit didn't shove him out, no scream, so he didn't throw him out of the window. I smile, pulling P'Beam away, who still wants to go in.

"Let me have some fun Yo." P'Beam looks at me. "I want to at least catch them doing something!"

"p..."

"They are getting sickening." He says affronted." Kits getting all nice, I need something..."

"P'Beam." I say. "If they do it today, it's before the ball, right?"

I chuckle when P'Beam curses, he was about to go in but turns around. He puts his arm around me and ushers me into my room, before he tiptoes away, leaving them to it... they had raised the bet to 30 gold. P'Beam had said, before the ball, without the egg VS P'In who said, after the ball without the egg, it made no sense to me; I just ate my jam tart and waited to go home.

My mind is exhausted from all the worrying, I tried telling Ming, but he was in a happy trance, P'Kit didn't throw him out, and he saw him with wet hair. But when he started drooling about seeing him without a shirt, I stopped him... I try being understanding, but I have limits...

I get worried thinking about him, I can't concentrate on anything, and of all the days, the angels had to be busy with work today!

I have been back to the clearing a few times since my initial meeting, I was disappointed when I didn't see him, but then I realised he had been hiding again.
