Chapter 4: Ghost Cat?

   KUMUNOT ang noo n'ya. “What?” Napataklob ako ng bibig. Misgi ako nagulat sa sinabi ko. Baka kung ano pa ang masabi ko masira pa ang first impression ko. “Initially, there's no such thing as aliens.. They're like fairies, monsters, mermaids, and other creatures people imagined they existed. There is no concrete evidence on what was going on a specific scenario. For me it's just a myth, a part of a fantasy story. There's no proof of any of them existing.. Secondly, I'm much―much cuter than that creature.. Lastly, I'm not a weido..”

   I didn't reply.

   Because I don't know what to say.

   Alam kong lahat ng sasabihin ko may kokontrahin niya at bibigyan ng facts.

   ‘Geek.’

   “I'm not a geek. Many people don't know the difference between geeks and nerds. Geeks are a fan of something, while nerds are dedicated to their studies,” he explained, and removed his eyeglasses.

   My eyes widened. “You can read minds?” Kinabahan ako bigla. Posible ba 'yon?

   He shooked his head. “What? Hell no! I can read your actions and emotions, but not your mind.. It's called―”

   “No!―don't say anything! Please! I know you're an alien, at hindi mo na kailangan itanggi.” I cut him off. “Atin-atin lang ito, promise hindi ko sasabihin sa iba! Promise! Just stop saying facts that my little brain can't handle..” I realized, I just insulted myself infront of him.. “And please don't blast me gamit 'yong mga lazer guns n'yo! I promise, I won't tell anyone..”

   ‘Para akong baliw sa puntong ito. Pero walang mangyayari kung nakipagpaligsahan ako sa kanya ng patalinuhan. Ang layo ng IQ n'ya saakin, at aminado ako.’

   He blinked twice. “What are you talking abou―”

   I put my index finger on his lips signalling him to be quiet. “Shh.. Shh.. Sshhhh..”

   “But―”

   “Sshhhhhh.. shh.” There's a moment of silence. “No need to explain.. I promise.. I won't tell anyone,” I whispered.

   I smiled at him and went downstairs.

   ‘Si Scott ay may nakakaibang lakas..’

   ‘Si Lucas kayang tandaan ang buong details noong unang beses kami nagkakilala, at kaya niyang magbasa ng isip ng tao..’

   ‘'Yong lalaki kagabi.. Uhmm weird.. Just weird..’

   ‘So in conclusion, they are all aliens!’

   ‘Actually, maybe lahat sila ay alien kaya malayo sila sa tao..’

   ‘Tsk.. Tsk.. Tsk.. I'm such a genius.. I know.. No need to clap.. I understand..’

   ‘I'm a total dumbass..’

   Before I reach the end of the staircase, I saw Scott. “Good morning, Av.. Nakatulog ka ba ng maayos?” pambungad niya.

   I stood there, remembering what happened last night. “Aside from being trap in a strangers bedroom who thinks I'm a burglar.. 'Yong patugtog na kulang nalang pati eardrums ko ay tambulin.. 'Yong yakap-yakap ako 'nong weirdong lalaking hindi ko kilala magdamag―”
