Chapter 25

It was finally the day my brothers and I have to return to school. I honestly had hope that this day was going to be good. I don't want to be negative, I'm trying to find the good in things lately. Shawn is going to be back the 17th so I definitely had that to look forward to. The People's Choice Award passed and it was amazing, Shawn won Breakout Artist and everyone was so happy. I felt so proud, even my brothers were cheering him on. He also performed with Camila Cabello who in my opinion is such an amazing singer.

I got out of bed and put my hair in a messy bun for the time being. I went over to my closet and picked out the clothes I wanted to wear. I chose some ripped jeans, converse, and, as usual, I chose to wear Shawn's hoodie, just for good luck. I went into the bathroom and brushed my teeth, washed my face, and brushed my hair out. I grabbed my backpack and went over to knock on my brother's room for them to wake up. I made my way downstairs and prepared the usual breakfast, eggs and cereal. As I was scrambling the eggs my phone started to ring.

"Hello?"

"Hey babe!' Shawn said and I smiled.

"Hey popstar, why are you calling so early?"

"I kinda figured you were awake, I just wanted to wish you a great day at school and I want to know all about it once you get home."

"You're so sweet thanks babe, I hope you have a good day too, i'll facetime you later if you're free?"

"Yeah, for sure, just text me."

"Alright babe, I'll talk to you later, 9 more days!"

"Byeee diner girl!" He said and I hung up. I put my phone in my back pocket and continued to make breakfast. My brothers both came downstairs running and we all sat at the table together.

"Man I can't remember the last time we all sat together at the table for breakfast, just us three." Jacob said and I smiled.

"It feels nice."

"Yeah, we should always do this." He said and we continued eating. After we finished eating we all piled into my car and I drove my brothers to school.

"Have a good day guys!" I yelled out the window after they got out. I smiled and made my way to my school. I just have to be positive and not listen to others. I parked my car in the student parking lot and walked into the loud hallways filled with teens and teachers. I walked over to my locker and grabbed the books I needed for the day. I felt some eyes on me, but I shook them off. As I walked to my first period of the day I saw a girl who looked like she didn't know where her class was. She's probably new. I slowly approached her and she looked up at me with a smile.

"Hey, do you need help finding your class?" I said and she smiled widely.

"Oh lord yes please, I just transferred here from Vancouver and I'm barely getting used to everything." She sighed. "I'm Tanya, I'm a senior."

"Nice to meet you, I'm Nicole, I'm also a senior." I said and we both chuckled. "Here let me see your schedule."

She handed me her schedule and I was happy to see that she had first period and third period with me.

"You have first period with me! Come on I'll show you."

"Oh my gosh thank you so much." She said and I nodded my head. "So how are the teachers here?"

"They're pretty amazing, if you get on their good side they treat you even better." I said as we continued to walk to Mrs.Harding's class. "So how are you liking Toronto so far?"

"It's nice, I was just so used to Vancouver you know?"

"Yeah I get you. You'll get used to it, if you want we should hang out one day and I'll give you a tour."

"That sounds like fun! I'm so down." She said and we both smiled. We finally arrived to the classroom and I sat down at my desk and Tanya sat down right next to me. We took out our books and as I was about to take out my notebook Kyara walked in with a smirk plastered on her face. I rolled my eyes as I waited for the bell to ring. I will not let her ruin my day. Finally the bell rung and Mrs.Harding walked in.

"Welcome back class, I hope you studied while you guys were away because tomorrow there will be a 20 question quiz." She said and everyone groaned as I just smiled because I had gotten ahead this break. As Mrs.harding began to go over the new lesson I kept hearing Kyara giggling in the background along with her idiotic friends. I tried my best not to pay attention, but finally I gave in and turned around only to see them staring at me as they giggled.

"What's their problem?" Tanya whispered.

"Popularity is their problem." I said as I rolled my eyes. We both continued to listen to the lesson and I completely blocked out their idiocracy.

Finally it was the end of the day and it was honestly not terrible. I got in my car and made my way to my brother's school to pick them up. Luckily today Mike closed the diner due to a 'family emergency.' He's most likely going to get drunk or something, but I'm just happy it's a day off with pay. I finally reached the school and they both hopped in the car with smiles on their faces.

"How was school today Jacob?"

"Good, I signed up for basketball tryouts which start at the end of January."

"That's great!"

"And you, how's high school?"

"Same ol' drama." I said and we chuckled. It took us about five minutes to get home and when we did we ordered some pizza because we had no groceries. As Jacob ordered the pizza I ran upstairs to change into some sweats and text Shawn.

Me: hey popstar, I'm home, can you facetime?

Sent.

I quickly put on my sweats and tied my hair up into a pony tail.

I smiled and pressed the facetime app, clicking on his name. After a couple rings he finally answered.

"Oh lord you're so freakin beautiful." He said and I blushed.

"Oh shush."

"Hey diner girl how are you?"

"I'm good and you?"

"Good, I miss you though."

"I miss you too, but we got 9 more days and we get to see each other."

"Truee, so how was school?"

"It was actually pretty good, I made a new friend."

"That's good babe! I'm glad." He said and he laid down on a bed.

"Yeah, how's the traveling life?"

"About that, so I'm coming back January 17th."

"But?"

"Well I'm going to have to leave the 31st because I have to be in Germany by the 1st." He said and I frowned a bit. "Bright side I'll get to spend some time with you."

"Yeah I know, it's just hard when you're not here."

"I know babe, but that's my life."

"I know, just know I'm happy if you're happy." I said and we both smiled.

"Thank's babe, I can't wait to see you and your sexy ass."

"Oh lord." I said and we both laughed. This boy drives me crazy.
