Shawn
I woke up to the light shining through the white curtains of our hotel room. My head was still laying on Nicole's chest, my arm wrapped around her waist and her left hand in my hair. I could hear the small snores coming from her mouth and I slowly got up, trying not to wake her up. She stirred in her sleep and turned her back towards me before I got up and walked into the bathroom. I brushed my teeth and I turned to the room to see Nicole was still knocked out. I spit out the tooth paste and washed my face before going back into the room. I checked the time on my phone it was currently 10:30 in the morning.
I crawled back on the bed and placed small kisses along Nicole's face while she slowly began to wake up.
"Rise and shine beautiful." I said and she smiled, opening her eyes.
"Buenos Dias Shawn." She said as she stretched her arms onto my neck and brought me closer to her, smashing her lips against mine.
"Ready to go snorkeling?" I asked and she sat up on the bed.
"Hell yes!" She quickly got up, making me chuckle, and ran into the bathroom after grabbing some clean clothes, along with her bathing suit. I grabbed my shirt and swim trunks and changed while Nicole did the same. She came out of the bathroom wearing jean shorts and a grey long sleeve that was cropped, showing a small amount of her stomach. She had brushed her hair out and she put her pajamas back in her duffle bag. I slipped on a Harry Potter t-shirt and put on my Nikes while Nicole put on her sandals.
"What time does our flight leave tonight?"
"Someone's eager to go home." I chuckled and she shook her head.
"I'm not, I'm eager to enjoy the little amount of time we have left here."
"We leave at eight tonight, but we have to be at the airport by 7:30." I sighed and laid back on the bed, Nicole laying down next to me.
"I wish we could stay here forever." She said and I turned to face her, instantly staring at her green eyes.
"We should go, so we can get things done today." I smiled and she nodded. We both got up and grabbed our things before exiting the room and walking down to the lobby. We held hands and walked outside into the the warm weather, making our way to the beach.
"Where is the snorkeling place?" She asked and I pointed to a small hut on the corner of the beach.
"We just buy the tickets and they take us on a boat."
"Have you gone snorkeling before?"
"I actually have not." I shook my head. "But it's going to be fun, watch."
We finally made it to the hut and Nicole helped me ask for the tickets since the words I spoke in spanish were butchered. We were lead by two men to a small, white boat along with five other people who were tourists. Each of us got onto the boat, one by one, and sat down.
"I think you have a fan babe." Nicole nudged me with her elbow and I looked up to see a younger girl with her parents, whispering in her mom's ear. I smiled at her, giving her a small wave before she spoke to me.
"Hi Shawn, can I get a picture with you guys?" She asked and I nodded.
"Of course hun." I took her phone in my hand. "What's your name?"
"Natalie." She smiled and we all posed for a quick picture. I was about to hand the phone over to her mom so she could take a picture of all of us, but I dropped it on the floor of the boat, making Nicole and Natalie laugh.
"I am so sorry." I chuckled. We took one more picture before taking our seats and listening to the instructors, who thankfully spoke english. The boat began to move and we put on our life vests while we made our way towards the part of the ocean where we would be snorkeling.
"You ready for this?" I asked Nicole and she nodded.
"Of course I am." She smiled. Before we knew it we jumped into the blue water and met each other underneath, seeing all the creatures and coral at the bottom of the sea. Nicole and I held hands, smiling as we saw some starfish, clownfish, and even a stingray. We swam around, not wanting to get to close to the fish, and continued to look around for a while before getting back on the boat.
"That was so much fun!" Nicole exclaimed as she took off the wet suit.
"That was, I can't believe it's so cool down there." I smiled. We gave the wet suits to the instructors and the boat made its way back to land.
"Want to get something to eat?" I asked and she gladly nodded as I helped her get off the boat. We walked to a small restaurant on the beach and were seated in no time. The restaurant was small and painted a light blue color along with yellow stripes and large windows. People were sitting outside and once we walked inside we were met by the cool air coming from the vents.
"I'll order the food if you want and you look for a table?" She asked and I nodded. I grabbed my wallet out of my pocket, but she stopped me. "On me babe."
I smiled and kissed her before she left to order our food. I took a seat at an empty table before going through my phone and seeing that Nicole had tagged me in a picture, making me laugh. I liked and commented on the picture before Nicole came back with a receipt in her hand.
"What's so funny?" She sat down.
"The picture you posted, don't think I won't get you back for that by the way." I smirked and she laughed.
"I ordered us some gorditas and some nacho chips with guacamole if that's fine."
"Yeah anything is fine trust me."
We finally got our food and ate while the band payed in the background. I looked at Nicole who looked so happy, eating her food making me smile as I bit down on my own food. After we finished our food we decided not to do ziplining because Nicole was too afraid so we went to rent a boat before we had to leave and check out of the hotel.
We arrived at the beach and I quickly rented a boat for the evening while I sent Nicole to get any snacks she wanted. Luckily the owner and captain of the boats spoke english, making it eaier for me to rent one. The boat was a good size, it was white and had a deck along with a bedroom at the bottom of the boat. I smiled and Nicole came back with a bunch of snacks in her hand while she chuckled.
"I may have gone too over the top." She laughed and I chuckled.
"You can never have too many snacks hun. Come on, the boat is ready." I smiled and we both walked to the boat. We got on and Nicole sat down on the wooden chair that was on the deck. I followed behind her and took a seat next to her as she put down all of the snacks. It was starting to get chilly so I grabbed one of the blankets that was on the chair and placed it on our legs.
"This is so beautiful Shawn." She held my hand.
"Just like you." I said and she rolled her eyes playfully.
"Mhm okay."
"I can't believe it's almost time to leave." I sighed.
"I know, I want to stay here forever."
The boat finally left the shore and we were led around small islands. Nicole and I both took pictures on our phones and ate most of the snacks we brought along with us. The sun was still out and Nicole had taken her shirt off, leaving her in her bikini top. She got up only to sit at the bow of the boat while I took off my shirt so I could join her. I sat next to her and she was quick to rest her head on my shoulder.
"How is it that the water can be so clear." She said and I shrugged.
"I don't know, but it's so cool."
"So any songs that are ready for me to hear?" She asked and I chuckled.
"Not yet, but when they are ready you'll be the first to hear, trust me." I smiled when suddenly someone's phone began to ring. Nicole furrowed her eyebrows and she got up to get her phone. I turned around and saw her smile drop to a frown while her eyes went wide. I could tell something was wrong.
