After breakfast I dropped my brothers off at school and finally made it to my hell on Earth. As I walked down the halls I saw the same stares as usual and suddenly I was on the floor, my things falling everywhere.
"Hoe." A guy said as he high fived his friends walking next to home. I had just been pushed into the lockers in a forceful manner, causing me to fall on the floor and it wasn't exactly how I hoped to start off my day. I got up and I could hear the people laughing at me. I started to pick up my books when I saw one of the counselors come up and help me.
"Nicole, can we speak in my office?" Mr.Green said.
"What about?" I stood up.
"I just wanted to check in on you."
"Everything is fine Mr.Green, if you don't mind I have to get to class because I cannot have another detention."
"Nicole,"
"Have a nice day." I smiled and walked into my first period class. Counselors, always trying to butt into your business. I stopped going to my counselor the week after my father had died and my mother attempted to kill herself. I couldn't bring attention to my family or I knew that they would send my brothers and I to social services and they would have been placed us with a completely different family. Thankfully that only happened once and now that I'm about to turn 18 I can become their legal guardian. I sat down in my usual seat in the back and opened my books when I heard a the usual jocks laughing as they came in. I rolled my eyes when I saw Freddie blow a kiss to me mockingly. The rest of the guys laughed and my eyes met with one of them. Adrian Walker. The hottest guy on the baseball team. I had known him ever since I moved to Canada and I've spoken to him at least two times. He was the guy I've liked since I got here. Has he ever noticed me? Probably not, but he's probably heard all of the rumors. Nicole Ortega, senior class slut. Great name isn't it?
"Okay class today we are going to talk about one of the biggest projects of the semester!" As much as I tried to concentrate on the task at hand I found myself looking out of the window, watching each and every car pass by. That is until I felt someone tap on my shoulder lightly. I looked to my right to see Adrian sitting in the empty desk next to me, a surprised look on my face.
"Yeah?" I asked, feeling my heart beat a mile a minute.
"Hey Nicole." He smiled. "I was wondering if you wanted to work on this project together?"
"What project?" I asked and he chuckled."Sorry I wasn't really paying attention."
"I could tell, well we have to do a project on the history of immigration."
"Oh yeah, are you sure you want to work with me?" I asked.
"Why wouldn't I?" He chuckled. Lord his smile was even beautiful. "So what do you say?"
"Yeah, of course, when is it due?"
"Supposedly it's due in March."
"Okay do you want to work on it together during winter break?"
"Yeah that's perfect, we can work on it at my place." He smiled. "Here let me put my number in your phone."
I nodded and handed him my phone. He quickly typed in his number and I put my number in his.
"Mr.Walker and Miss.Ortega would you care to share whatever it is you're talking about to the class?"
"No sir." Adrian responded and he got up. "See you Nicole." He winked and returned to his seat in the front. Whatever just happened, I accept.

After school I did the usual, went to practice for an hour, went to the apartment to leave some dinner, and went to work for at least six hours. As I swept the floor more and more people came in, which was very weird. I soon began to notice that it was mostly teenage girls walking in and looking around. I put the broom away and grabbed my notepad.
"You guys can take a seat anywhere and I'll take your orders."
"Oh we're not here for the food, we heard the Shawn Mendes comes to eat here everyday!" One of the girls squealed making my ears hurt.
"Who?" I played dumb.
"Shawn Peter Raul Mendes, you know Magcon, famous singer, absolutely gorgeous!"
"Well I work here everyday I can assure you I have never seen him here." I lied.
"If you don't mind then we're going to take a seat and wait."
"You have to order something if you want to stay in here." I crossed my arms.
"Fine, we'll all take milkshakes."
"Coming right up." I rolled my eyes and went to place the order. After placing the order I texted Shawn.
Me: hey, if you were thinking of coming to the diner today don't because there's crazy fans here.
He surprisingly answered quickly.
Sexy Shawn: Shit, I'm so sorry, are you fine though?
Me: It's fine, I am don't worry, I have to get back to work..
"Order up!" Manuel said and ringed the bell. I grabbed the tray and placed all of the milkshakes on it, carrying them over to the two tables full of girls.
"Here are your orders, will that be all?" I asked.
"Yeah whatever." One of them said as she typed on her phone. I scoffed and went back to doing all of the other stupid things Mike asks me to do. After about two hours I heard the door close and I saw that the girls were no longer sitting down, but running outside.
"Shit." I dropped everything and ran outside trying to catch up to them. "You forgot to pay!" I yelled out and they flipped me off.
"Bitches." I muttered an went back inside.
"What happened?" Manuel said in his thick accent, furrowing his eyebrows.
"The putas didn't pay for their freaking drinks." I said as I picked up their mess, throwing the cups in the gray tub in my hands .
"It's okay Mike will never know."He shrugged and I shook my head.
"And if he finds out I'm fucked." I sighed. "I'm sorry, I didn't mean to curse."
"It's fine, so how was your date?"
"What date?" I laughed.
"The day that I covered for you, you looked really excited when you were on your phone."
"Well it wasn't date."
"But there was a boy." He smirked.
"Hmm something like that." I smiled and went to check my phone.
Sexy Shawn: Are they gone?
Me: Yeah coast is clear, you don't have to come though.
Sexy Shawn: But I want to, so I can keep you company!
Me: Thank you, I'll see you here...
