Chapter 14

I woke up at five in the morning, smiling like crazy. Was it a dream or do I really have a thing with a famous singer? I couldn't believe it! I smiled and kicked my legs as I laughed to myself. I got up and grabbed my uniform out of the old, brown dresser. I put my hair up into a high pony tail and then took off my pajamas before slipping on the bright red uniform.

"Jesus this makes me look like a tomato." I said to myself as I looked in the mirror. I patted the wrinkles down and grabbed my backpack. I made my way downstairs grabbing all of the toys that went down the stairs, placing them in a small basket at the bottom. I wrote a small note, placing it on the fridge so the boys will know what to make to eat. I grabbed my keys and quickly made my way out the door, shutting it as quietly as possible. Time for the daily routine.

Luckily, today I was working from six in the morning to twelve and from there I needed to get some Christmas gifts since it was already December Twenty-Third. The day went by quickly and before I knew it was already eleven in the morning when Shawn walked in with a rose in his hand.

"Well hello there Pop Star." I said and stopped cleaning the table.

"Hey Diner Girl."He smiled and grabbed me by waist, placing a kiss on my lips.

"Woah what was that for?"

"What, I can't kiss you?" He smirked. "This is for you." He said as he handed me the rose.

"Why thank you kind sir."

"So what are you doing after work?"

"I am going to find cheap christmas presents for my brothers. Do you want to come?"

"Why not, as long as I am with you."

"Okay I get off in like forty minutes." I smiled and kissed him on the cheek. He sat down in the booth and I went to take two more orders before my shift was over. Once it hit twelve I grabbed my backpack and car keys.

"Did you come in your car" I asked Shawn as I took my hair out of my pony tail.

"Nah I walked." He smiled and just stared at me.

"What?"

"Nothing, you're just beautiful."

"Um thank you." I said as I tucked a strand of hair behind my ear. He took me by the hand and we made our way outside to my car. We both got in and I turned on the car.

"So what do you guys do for Christmas?"

"Well, I can only afford two gifts for each of my brothers and usually they are small, cheap gifts. I usually cook a family recipe, and we watch some old Christmas movies we have." I shrugged as I continued to drive. "And you?"

"Well my family comes to my house and we eat. drink, play some games, and open presents." He said. "You know, you guys should join us this Christmas, it'll be fun."

"Shawn your parents don't even know me yet and we barely started dating." I sighed. "But thank you for the invite."

"Please go, it'll be fun. You're brothers will have fun, there will be good food, and you'll get to meet my family."

"I'll think about it, but for now I have to go get gifts." I said as I parked my car in the GoodWill parking lot.

"Why are we at GoodWill?"

"I told you I need to get gifts." I said as I opened the door and got out. I shut the door behind me and I heard Shawn's shut too.

"You know I can help you buy things."

"No it's fine, trust me." I smiled and held his hand in mine. I could see the guilty look in his eyes even if he didn't do anything. I never want him to be put in that position, I earn what I can and that's all I can do. We walked into the store and I went straight for the toy section. I looked at all the action figures and finally picked out a Captain America and Iron Man toy. For Jacob I chose some headphones and a Fallout Boy t-shirt.

"Okay let's go." I smiled and we walked to the cash register. After a few minutes I paid for the things and we left.

"So what do you want to do?" I asked as we got into my car.

"Do you want to go get something to eat? My treat."

"You sure?"

"Yeah, let's go to the mall, just eat and hangout."

"Okay Pop Star." It only took about ten minutes and we were already in the shopping center's parking garage. We got out of my car and made our way inside of the mall.

"So what do you want to eat?" He asked.

"I honestly don't know."

"How about sandwiches?"

"Yeah that sounds good." I smiled and we went up to the food court. When we got to the food court we went towards Jersey Mikes, a sub sandwich place. I sat down in a booth and Shawn went to place our order. I could see this teenage girl with her mom and they kept staring at Shawn. I smiled at the fact that so many people love and looked up to him. He paid for our food and brought me some chips and my drink.

"I think you have a fan." I smiled and he turned around to look at the girl and her mother. They looked surprised that he turned to look at them and they came towards us.

"Hi Shawn, sorry to bother you, but can we take a picture?" The girl asked shyly.

"Of course!" He smiled and stood up fro the booth. "What's your name?"

"Olivia." She smiled with great joy. They both stood together and Shawn posed with a peace sign as the mother took the picture. Once they finished Shawn went to get our orders while the girl looked at the pictures.

"Are you his girlfriend?" The mother asked.

"No we're just friends." I chuckled and she just smiled.

"You guys would look really cute together." Olivia smiled.

"Thank you." I smiled and they walked away. Shawn came back and sat down, placing the sandwiches on the table.

"What they say to you?" He asked.

"Nothing, thank you for everything by the way." I said and kissed him on the lips.
