After dropping my brothers off at school Shawn dropped me off and I went to my classes, the day going by slower than usual. I was currently in my fourth period, Spanish class, reading my poetry and waiting for the bell to ring so I could go to lunch.
I rubbed my eyes, feeling them water and I coughed a bit, clearing my throat. Shit, I hope it's just allergies. The bell finally rang after a few minutes and I shoved my poetry book in my bag, swinging it onto my shoulder after I got up from my seat.
"Be sure to read the assignment from yesterday! We will be discussing tomorrow estudiantes!" Ms.Perez said and I walked out of her room. I made my way over to the cafeteria, grabbing a tray and filling it with a sandwich and a brownie. I paid for my food and took a seat where Adrian and Tanya were.
"Hey buddies." I smiled and sat down next to Adrian.
"Is it me or is this day really long?" Adrian asked and I nodded, taking a bite of my sandwich.
"Very long." I rolled my eyes and coughed into my arm.
"You sick?" Tanya furrowed her eyebrows.
"I might be getting sick because I was a dumbass and went out into the rain last night."
"Where'd you go?" She chuckled as she took a bite of her pasta.
"Shawn's house, after work." I shrugged, chewing my food.
"Ahh, late night booty call." She winked, a smirk plastered on her face and I chuckled, shaking my head.
"Oh stop."
We all continued eating in peace until the bell rang and we said our goodbyes, walking over to our fifth period class. The last two periods of the day seemed the longest I think, probably because I was in such a hurry to get out of school and be with Shawn.
I walked out of school once we were dismissed and headed over to the parking lot where I saw Shawn's car parked. I flashed him a smile and ran over to the passenger side door, getting in.
"Hello beautiful." He smiled and cupped my cheek with his left hand, kissing me slowly.
"Hello handsome." I said as I looked into his light brown eyes, knowing that going through this long day was worth it in the end. I sat in my seat and put my seat belt on as Shawn started the car and I grabbed his phone so I could play some music.
"How was your day?" He held my hand in his as we exited through the parking lot exit.
"Extremely long and useless in my opinion, and yours?" I blew out a big breath.
"Also long, but spent in good company."
"Who were you with?"
"Geoff and Andrew, we had to talk over a few things." He said and I nodded.
"A meeting?" I asked, intrigued.
"Yeah, we were going over the album and I had time to write with Teddy and Geoff."
"That's good to hear." I smiled and he did the same. "So where are we going popstar?" I smirked, nudging him.
"Oh you know just dinner and a hockey game." He shrugged and pulled out two jerseys from the back seat while we were at a red light. He laid a blue hockey jersey on my lap and I smiled, looking at him in disbelief.
"You're serious?"
"Of course I'm serious, the game is at six." He said as he continued driving and got onto the highway, making his way over to Old Toronto.
"Is this your jersey?" I chuckled and he nodded.
"Yeah I have two." He shrugged. I left the jersey on my lap and took off my seat belt so I could be able to take off my jean jacket. I slipped the jersey on top of my hoodie, a huge smile on my face as I adjusted it and pulled my hair out of it.
