I texted Shawn last night, letting him know what was happening and he called me right away, wanting to know every detail. Explaining it to him made me feel calm and reassured. He was excited to know that I was, and I quote, "getting what I deserved." I ended my call with him around two in the morning last night since he has gotten home late from meeting with his team and management. After the call I fell asleep only to be woken up at six in the morning so I could meet with everyone at the diner. We dropped my brothers off at school before heading towards the diner and waiting in the car for Rob to get here with the police.

I drank my cup of coffee, shaking a bit as my nerves got the best of me and I set it down, letting a deep breath out.

"You okay?" My mom furrowed her eyebrows and rubbed my upper arm.

"Yeah, just nervous I guess, no clue why though." I looked down at my legs, rubbing my clammy hands on my jeans.

"It's all going to be fine hun, have you talked to Shawn?"

"Yeah, last night." I slightly smiled.

"Just think positive thoughts, see I got you to smile a bit." She nipped at my cheek with her fingers and I smiled.

"You're right, I just want to get this over with." I nodded. We waited patiently in the car until Rob finally pulled up next to us and a cop car as well. We all got out of our cars and we shook hands with the officers.

"Good morning, so this should be simple." Officer Garrett said. "We go in, explain to him his warrant for his arrest and if he tries anything violent we will subdue him."

"Sounds good." I sighed and crossed my arms.

"Now you can come inside with us if you feel comfortable, but if you don't I'd advise you to stay out here." He said and I looked at the floor, debating whether or not if it was a good idea.

"If it's fine I'll just stay out here, you go in mom."

"No I'lll stay with you." She shook her head.

"We actually do need you to go in Alicia, be a witness to the arrest." Rob added and she nodded, giving me a hug. I waited in front of our car, watching all of them walk into the empty diner. I could see them from the outside, approach the front podium and most likely ask for Mike. Veronica simply nodded with a confused look on her face and walked over to his office, the two officers following behind her. I heard a car door slam shut and I jumped a bit, turning to see Shawn's jeep. I furrowed my eyebrows and saw Shawn in a dark gray hoodie and sweat pants, walking towards me.

"Hey, what are you doing here?" I smiled and he came up to me, embracing me in a warm hug.

"I had some time before my meeting and I felt shitty about not being here." He kissed the top of my head. "You okay?"

"Yeah, just nervous I guess." I shrugged and he held me in his arms.

"It's all almost over, you almost have it hun." He said and I nodded, taking a deep breath in and resting my head on his chest.

"God I love hugging you." I chuckled and suddenly we heard the door swing open. Shawn kept me in his arms as I turned to watch him walk out, his hands behind his back as the officer had him in cuffs. Mike struggled to get loose and he tried to wrestle his way out of the cuffs, but it was no use. They made it closer to us and his eyes locked with mine, rage filling his entire face.

"You fucking bitch." He barked at me as he lunged towards me, behind held back by the officer. Shawn pulled me back a bit, making sure I was still in his arms. I furrowed my eyebrows, angry, and I flipped him off as they stuck him in the back seat of the cop car.
