Chapter 26

"Hermana." Someone shook me.

"Hm?"

"Hermana wake up." I heard Hunter's voice and I slowly opened my eyes.

"What's wrong bub?" I groggily said and he smiled.

"There's someone at the door." He said and I nodded my head. I got up from bed and put on a sweater because I had no bra on and walked downstairs, not caring how I looked. I put my hair in a bun as I walked down the stairs and wiped my tired eyes. Who could it be so early in the freakin morning? I finally made it to the door and opened it to be met with roses that were on the floor. I furrowed my eyebrows and squatted down too see the little note in the bouquet. It was from Shawn.

"You like?" Someone said behind me and I turned around to see Shawn standing in the living room with a smile on his face.

"Shawn!" I said, running up to him and jumping on him, wrapping my legs around him. "I missed you so much!"

"I missed you too babe." He said and we both chuckled. I teared up a little bit and he let me down, still holding me in his embrace. "Are you crying?"

"No, my eyes are sweating." I sniffled and he laughed. "I don't remember your face being this beautiful, what the hell." I said and grabbed his face.

"You're beautiful as always." He smiled and grabbed my face.

"Please I just woke up, wait how did you get in here?"

"You're a deep sleeper." He shrugged and I shook my head.

"I completely forgot today was the 17, next time give me heads so I could look decent at least."

"Babe you always look good, trust me." He said and I smiled. "So I was wondering if you wanted to go out today?"

"Let me get changed and we can go."

"Sounds good, want me to wait down here?"

"No it's fine, you can wait in my room." I said and we went upstairs. He sat down on my bed and I grabbed some jeans, a grey crew neck, my bra and underwear.

"I'll be right back." I said and he nodded. I walked into the bathroom and got dressed. I brushed my teeth, washed my face, and brushed out my hair. I put my dirty clothes in the dirty laundry basket and walked out of the bathroom to see Shawn lying down on my bed on his stomach. I came up behind and smacked his ass as hard as I could.

"Nicole!" He groaned and I fell to the ground laughing. He was holding his ass and I started to tear up of laughter. "My poor butt."

"That was funny though." I laughed and he picked me up from the floor and threw me on the bed. "Please no I'm sorry!" I yelled and he started to tickle me. I was dying of laughter and I could hear him laughing too.

"Uncle! Uncle!" I yelled and he stopped. He was on top of me and I was trying to catch my breath.

"You're gonna stop slapping my ass now?"

"No promises." I said and bit my lip as I giggled.

"Goddamn it." He rolled his eyes and I just laughed. 

"Are you gonna kiss me now or just be a tease?" I said and he's face got closer to mine. I closed my eyes and suddenly I felt his face near my ear.

"I'll just be a tease." He whispered and I rolled my eyes.

"Okay, I see how it is." I smirked and he got off of my bed. "So where are we going, tease?"

"I was thinking of walking around the city and just having a chill day."

"As long as I'm with you it'll be a good day." I smiled and stood up. I grabbed my bag and walked to my brothers room to tell them I was leaving. After I said bye to them I left money on the counter and closed the apartment door behind us. We walked out of the apartment complex hand in hand and walked towards his grey Jeep. He opened the door for me and closed it once I got in then he got in the car.

"Thank you for opening the door for me babe." I said and buckled my seatbelt in as he did the same.

"Anytime hun." He started the car and started to play the radio.

"Are you happy to be home?" I said and he held my hand while driving, making me smile like crazy.

"Of course I am, I'm happy to see you and my family, but sad I have to leave in a couple of days."

"Yeah I know, but at least we have these days and I'm pretty sure you'll visit a lot babe." I said and rubbed circles around his hand with my thumb. It took about thirty minutes to get into the city and Shawn decided to park his car near the place where we were going to get breakfast. He got out of the car and as I was about to open the door he opened it for me and I got out. He closed the door behind me and held my left hand in his as we walked to the small breakfast place. As we walked I could hear some whispers behind us and people looking at us.

"I think people recognize you pop star."

"Nah, they're just looking at how beautiful you are." He said and I shook my head. As we continued to walk we could hear the whispers grow and suddenly we saw men with cameras get out of their car. Shawn let go of my hand and he put his hoodie up and I just looked at him. I shook my head and kept it down since he did the same thing.

"Shawn who's the girl?" One man said as he and others took a picture.

"Shawn how are you? How's the album coming?"

"Everything is good guys thanks." He said and opened the door for me once we arrived at the café. I walked in and he closed the door behind us. I sat down at the booth and he sat down in front of me, putting down his hoodie and taking off his glasses. He smiled slightly and I did too as I could still see the paparazzi outside of the café.

"You haven't told your fans yet huh?"

"I'm sorry, I didn't mean for this to happen, I really just wanted this day to be about us." He said and held my hand.

"Shawn it's fine I understand, trust me." I said and smiled. I was fine with it, but at the same time it scared me that my past was going to catch up to me even sooner than I thought.
