Chapter 51

I woke up to the smell of eggs and bacon filling the apartment. I turned from my side and laid on my back, staring up at the ceiling as a I wiped my eyes. I took a deep breath in and counted to five in my head before sitting up. I unplugged my phone from the charger and check the time to see it was 6:30 in the morning. I completely forgot I had school today. Shawn also leaves today. 

I sighed before getting up and walking downstairs to see my brothers making breakfast. It was mostly Jacob doing the work while Hunter handed him things from the fridge, making me giggle.

"Good morning guys." I smiled and walked over to them, giving each of them a hug.

"Good morning hermana." Hunter smiled. "We made you breakfast!"

"I see that, to what do I owe this too." I sat down at the table.

"You work really hard and I didn't like seeing you sad yesterday, so I decided to make a happy breakfast." Jacob said and I smiled.

"Thank you brother, seriously."

"Are you going to go talk to him right now?"

"I'm just going to go after school, that way I have time."

"That's a good idea." He nodded and grabbed paper plates from the pantry. He served us our food and once we finished we all went back upstairs to get ready for the day. I grabbed some tights and a hoodie, putting no effort in what I wanted to wear. I put my hair in a messy bun and changes into my clothes after I washed my face and brushed my teeth. I put on my shoes and grabbed my backpack along with keys, walking back downstairs.

"Are you guys ready? I'll drop you off." I yelled so they could hear me and Jacob responded.

"Almost! We'll meet you downstairs."

I opened the apartment door and closed it behind me before walking to the elevator and pressing on the garage button. I got to the broom floor and walked over to my car, putting the keys into the ignition. I put the heater on because it was a bit chilly outside and I placed my backpack on the back seat. It took my brothers a few minutes to get downstairs and they got into the car, putting on their seat belts before I left to drop them off at their school.

The car ride wasn't long and by the time I dropped them off it was 7:40, giving me time to get to school. I parked my car in the student parking lot and walking over to my locker to put away certain books, avoiding eye contact with anyone. I opened my locker and saw the picture of Shawn and I, causing me to sigh and shake my head.

"Hey buddy." Adrian said behind me, making me jump.

"You scared me."

"Sorry," He slightly smiled and I closed my locker. "How are you?"

"I'm alright." I shrugged.

"I heard what happened, I'm sorry Nicole." He frowned and I flashed him a small smile. 

"I guess now everyone knows." I shrugged. 

"I really am sorry, but I'm pretty sure it'll all blow over." He hugged me and I hugged him back.

"It's fine, I'll be fine, I always am anyways." I sighed. "I just don't understand who told them."

"Nicole." He ran his hands through his hair. "I heard it was Kyara, she was telling everyone this morning."

"Why am I not surprised." I scoffed. "Whatever, I can't do anything about it now."

"You'll get through this Nicole, show her she can't hurt you." He rubbed my arm and smiled. "Anyway you have me by your side."
