The last bell of the day finally rang and I closed my book shut. I put away my notebook along with my pencil pouch before grabbing my bag and walking out of the class toward my locker. This week was the slowest week in the world. I went to school, to work, and to bed. The only thing that I would look forward to was my facetime call with Shawn, but sometimes we both would be so busy that we'd miss our chance.

My thoughts were soon interrupted by someone tapping on my shoulder. "Nicole, hey girl!"

"Hey Tanya," I smiled. "How come I haven't seen you in a while?"

"My dad got really sick and so did my little brother, the flu you know." She shrugged.

"Aw I'm sorry, are they feeling better?"

"Yeah, thankfully, anyway how are you?"

"I'm good, all things considering."

"I heard about what Kyara did, I swear she is such a 'b' with an 'itch'." She said and I closed my locker, nodding in acceptance.

"Well everything is better now so nothing to worry about."

"Is Shawn in town?"

"No, he left Monday." I sighed and we both walked to the parking lot.

"Aww that sucks, I was gonna ask if you guys wanted to go on a double date with Jason and I."

"Maybe when he gets back, I know he'd love to." I nodded.

"Sounds like a plan." She smiled and put her arm through mine. "Do you maybe want to hang today? Jason and I are going to go bowling tonight at seven."

"Won't I be a third wheel?"

"Oh please, no you won't." She chuckled. "If you want I can ask Adrian if he wants to come with us."

"I don't know Tanya." I shook my head.

"Come on Nicky, I know you're sad Shawn isn't here, but I really want to hang out with you!" She grabbed my hands.

"Okay fine." I gave in and she hugged me right as we got to my car.

"Yay! Okay I'll text Adrian and I'll let you know when we're outside you're place."

"Sounds good, see you later girl." I smiled and she walked away before I got into my car. I drove over to my brothers' school so I could pick them up.

"Hey sister." Jacob said as he got into the front seat and Hunter got in the back.

"Hey guys, how was school?" I started the car and they put on their seatbelts.

"Good."

"Good."

"That's, good." I chuckled. "Jacob do you have any plans tonight?"

"No, why?"

"Tanya wants me to go out with her tonight and I was wondering if you guys would be fine being alone for a bit."

"Yeah, we'll be fine." He nodded. "I was going to ask you actually if I could invite over Aaliyah this weekend because I've been wanting to hang out with her."

"Hmm I don't know," I acted coy. "What are your plans?"

"Well I was thinking we could go see a movie together and maybe lunch." He shrugged.

"Ooh so a date." I nudged him.

"No, not a date, just the two of us hanging out." He groaned.

"Fine, but you have to ask her and she has to ask her parents mister."

"Okay, can you take us tomorrow?"
