We ate breakfast downstairs in the hotel's restaurant, ordering plates of pancakes, eggs, and much more before going back upstairs to our room so my brothers and I could rest before we had to go do the interview at one o'clock. My brothers had fallen asleep already, I closed the curtains in our room and turned off all the lamps while they were sprawled out on the two beds. I opened the connecting door to Shawn's room and closed it behind me once I walked into his room. I took off my tights and hoodie, climbing into his bed and under the cold, white covers. I heard the running water turn off and soon a door close.

"Nicole?" Shawn asked and I uncovered my face, giggling as he dried his wet hair with a towel. He put on his boxers and climbed into bed right next to me and I pulled the blanket over our heads.

"Oh wow, what a lovely surprise." He gripped my bare skin and pulled me closer to him. I raised my hand up and stroked his hair and cupped his face, placing a kiss on his lips. I wrapped my arms around his waist and rested my head under his chin, hearing his heart beat. He began to rub circles around my back and I began to sniffle, hugging him tighter.

"Hey, what's wrong?" He looked down worriedly and I covered my face, beginning to cry.

"I don't know, I'm just-" I sighed and continued to cry onto his chest. "I'm just so happy to be here with you and I love you so much."

"Hun, I love you too," He took my face into his hands and tucked a strand of hair behind my ear. "But what's wrong? Talk to me."

"That's the thing, I don't know what's wrong. I guess I just missed you or I'm tired, but I have no idea."

"Well I'm here with you now, just take a deep breath." He kissed my forehead. "I've got you Nicole."

I sniffled one last time and wiped the tears away. "Thank you Shawn, I'm sorry I'm such a mess."

"You're not a mess." He smiled. "Are you sure you're okay to do this interview?"

"It's not a problem." I shook my head.

"I know it's not, but are you comfortable?"

"Yes, I'll be fine." I sighed. "What exactly might he ask?"

"He'll most likely ask how we met or how you deal with me being away for so long."

"Oh, okay."

"If he asks you anything about the articles, I'll divert the conversation."

"No it's fine, I need to answer these questions at one point." I shrugged. "It's better that way."

"Okay." He smiled and brought me closer to him. "How did I get so lucky?"

"Oh shush." I shoved him playfully. "I should be saying that to you."

"I really am glad you came." He traced figures on my skin as I stared at how concentrated he was.

"I'm glad I did too, my brothers are really happy too, especially Hunter since he doesn't remember what L.A. looks like."

We remained in silence for a good amount of time, I was in his arms while I felt his fingers trace all of over my back and I ran my hand through his hair. I could hear him groan quietly and I looked up to see his eyes closed. I sighed and I closed my eyes, falling asleep almost instantly. It took ten minutes before I shot up from the bed, breathing heavily and holding my chest. I looked down at Shawn and he was still sound asleep. I put the pillow up against the headboard of the bed and sat up, taking a few deep breaths.

I closed my eyes and slowly got up from the bed, taking a seat on the chair that was facing the window and wrapping myself in a blanket. I sighed and rested my head on my hand, trying to control my breathing. I stared out the window, watching the busy city streets and bringing my knees up to my chest.
