Chapter 18

I scrunch my nose and let out a small laugh pulling away. Ruel looks confused.

"We always get interrupted don't we?" I say standing up.

He scratches the back of his head.

"Yep and it really sucks. I worked so hard to get to that moment." He says with a small smile.

He looks a little disappointed.

I go open the front door and pay for the pizza.

Ruels standing in the kitchen waiting for me. As soon as I put the pizza down on the table he hugs me from behind.

"Ruuuuuuuuuel" I say laughing.

"What?" He says mischievously.

"Come on let's eat"

"Fiiiiine"

We grab our pizza slices and head back to the living room. We end up finishing the movie at around 7:30. We both lie lazily on the couch.

"Ugh you are so comfortable to lie on. I don't want to move" I say.

"Are you calling me fat?" He says in a high pitched voice.

We both laugh until we fall into a comfortable silence.

"Okay I'm gonna get up." I announce.

I roll onto the floor and lay there for a few seconds. Ruel comes down and joins me on the floor.

"Wow I didn't know you had that!" Ruel says pointing at the roof. it was a painting of the night sky.

"Oh yeah I forgot I had that." I said.

"Did you paint it?" He asks.

"Yeah. I painted it for my grandpas birthday." I said.

"Wow. It's beautiful."

"Hey it's still 7:40 right?" I ask looking out the window.

"Uhhh yeah."

I jump up.

"Come quick" I say pulling him up from the ground.

"Where are you taking me?!?" Says Ruel.

"Just come on!!"
