In the end I also got really tired and I ended up falling asleep as well.
At around 5:30 am I woke up.
Ruel was still asleep on my leg.
I gently shook him.
"Ruel" I whispered
Nothing.
"Ruel" I said in a normal voice shaking him harder.
Nothing
"RUEL" I shouted and I smacked him
"Okay okay I'm up. Where's the fire?" He said sarcastically.
"I had another genius idea. Wanna watch the sunrise?"
"Yeah of course" he says.
He sits up and gives me a quick kiss.
I feel so guilty about what I'm gonna have to do.
"Hey what's your address? Coco wants to know where to pick me up later"
"Oh it's (insert random address cuz I'm too lazy to think of one)"
"Thanks" he quickly sends a text.
"Wait she's picking you up? Like driving?"
"I think she's gonna Uber here and then we are going to the airport"
"Ohhhhh"
We head outside
"The sun usually rises around 6:00 but we can go up" I say while climbing up the ladder to the roof.
We uncover the couch and sit down, ruels arm wrapped around me.
I laugh and start to sing
"Tell me, have you seen a sunset, turn into a sunrise, kiss right through the night"
"What song is that?" He asks, staring at me with wide eyes.
"Just a random song I heard on the radio the other day. I think it fits our situation although we did fall asleep. Also you have to stop looking at me like that"
"Like what?" He asks, playing dumb and looking away. Is his face red again?
"Like I'm insane"
"I'm just in awe of you"
Ruel leans in and we kiss
"Now the song fits our situation"
We both laugh
