*Here we are, just a whole chapter of Maylor fluff! I felt like I'd been neglecting them lately so here's some Maylor and Ivy content 😂🥰
Also, I know that baby car seats are meant to go backwards in a car but this is the 70s and I also only remembered that after I finished writing the chapter so we're just going to pretend that rule doesn't exist so I don't have to change the cuteness of them watching her, okay? 😂💕*

*3RD PERSON POV*
"You can do it baby girl! Say Da for Daddy, you can say it!" Roger cooed as he hung over his seat to watch his daughter in her baby carrier, Brian driving his leg of the almost 4 hours they had to travel back to their hometown.

"You're going to confuse her if you keep saying that Rog." The guitarist shook his head as he focused on the road in front of him, not wanting to end up in a ditch, or even worse. "She knows you as Papa and now you're saying Daddy. She's not going to understand." He added, Roger mumbling something under his breath as he turned back around to sit properly.

"I just want her to say Da." He grumbled with a huff. "I want her to say them both. They're only one letter different!" He muttered, making Brian roll his eyes.

"Because she knows what letters are Roger." He scoffed, shaking his head again. "She's only just said Pa, we don't have to force her into saying anything else." He added just as the baby made a loud squeal, Roger quick to turn and ensure she was okay.

"Pa!" She giggled, watching him from her spot, knowing exactly who the blonde was as his face lit up with a smile. "Pa, Pa, Pa!" She babbled, making both parent's hearts melt as Brian spotted her in the revision mirror.

"It's her first and favourite word it would seem." Roger chuckled, loving hearing his little one saying his "name". It amazed him that she knew he was her Papa. He guessed it was because they kept saying it as much as they did, but it still surprised him that she knew him. She was tiny yet she was so smart!

"We better get used to hearing it." Brian laughed himself, knowing it would be the only thing she'd be saying for a while. He had to admit that it hurt just a tiny bit her saying Roger's name over his own, what with them being so close for so long. He couldn't let it get to him though, knowing that she was just a baby and she wasn't picking favourites or sides, she was just repeating back things that she'd heard and she would've heard Papa more than Daddy, especially when he had his moment and bloody well abandoned her.

"She'll say it for you soon Bri, I know she will." Roger smiled softly, his hand resting just above Brian's knee to give him a little support. The drummer could sense that his love was a bit down ever since Ivy started babbling the word yesterday afternoon, and he knew why. It would hurt, her not saying Da first when Brian was the one who carried and cared for her all those months. He knew the older would never admit how he was feeling though so he knew he had to try and pep him back up, not wanting him to fall back into old thinking. They couldn't have him lose who he was again. Ivy needed him, hell they both needed him, and Roger was going to make damn sure that Brian knew his baby loved him, even if she didn't say Da yet.

"I know." Brian smiled back, knowing he needed to focus more on the magic of her actually talking and not what she was saying. His baby was talking! That's what he needed to think about and be amazed by, not what she was or wasn't saying.

"She loves you." Roger said seriously. "Just because she didn't say it first doesn't mean she doesn't." He added, trying to ensure that Brian knew he was loved and needed by his daughter.

"I know she loves me, you goof." Brian chuckled lightly, shaking his head. He knew that already but was still thankful that his boyfriend was trying to help him feel a little better, knowing Roger always could tell when he wasn't 100%. "It just...I don't know." He shrugged, not really knowing how to explain how he was feeling. "I guess it hurt a little, as it would if a baby said Mama over Dada, you know?" He sighed, Roger nodding as he knew exactly what he meant. The drummer knew himself he would feel the same if Ivy said Da first. It was kind of a selfish thing really, but not in a bad way. You just love this little human so much and want to know so badly that they love you back.
