*HEY ANOTHER UPDATE WHO IS SHE?! 💁🏼♀️😂
I hope you guys are okay with these quick updates and I'm not just bombarding you all with chapters 😂 I've just been off work for a week and bored so I smashed out as much as I could really! I go back tomorrow so they might not be as quickly posted as they have been but I'll always keep writing. I just wanted to know if you guys liked the idea of adding some more drama into the mix because I've got some things up my sleeve I could add but I don't want to make it SOOOOO dramatic that it's unbelievable (bc ya know a man having a baby is believable and everything), ya know? Anyway, that's just what I wanted to ask and I hope you all enjoy this kinda filler/not chapter 😂💕*
*3RD PERSON POV*
*One Month Later*
"Thank you for coming with me Deaks. You didn't have to." Brian smiled thankfully at his friend as the pair walked around the local park together, the older pushing Ivy in her pram as they wandered.
"Oh it's my pleasure Bri." John smiled back. "Penny said I should try and keep up some exercise anyway." He chuckled, actually enjoying the quiet morning stroll the pair had went on. It was a time for Brian to relax and spend time with his baby girl and usually he'd go alone (just wandering around their neighbourhood for at least an hour), but this morning John offered to come along, leaving Freddie to have a word to their drummer over his behaviour the last few weeks towards the guitarist. Brian had been trying hard to change over the past month, spending as much time as possible with Ivy to try and strengthen their father/daughter bond the best he could before it became irreparable. He'd gone back multiple times to talk to Penny about his feelings and to work out a way of helping his thinking, putting in as much effort as he humanly could, yet Roger didn't seem to think it was enough. The blonde didn't seem to want to accept that Brian was trying to change, only pushing him further away the more the guitarist tried to get closer to him and his family. It hurt Brian, Roger being so distant with him, but he didn't blame him for acting how he was, knowing it was his own doing that brought them to this point in their relationship.
"How is everything going?" Brian asked, nodding to the bassist's growing bump with another smile. "I've been meaning to ask but-"
"But you've been busy with your own things," John butted in, not wanting him to feel bad for focusing on himself and his daughter over everything else. That's what they wanted. They wanted him to find himself again and nobody was going to blame him for missing out on a few things. "and that's perfectly fine Bri." He added with a smile, Brian smiling himself again with another nod, thankful that his friends were understanding of what he was going through. It was a long journey for him and he was still struggling somewhat, but he could feel the change in him and he was willing to stick it out as long as he needed to to grow closer to his little one. "But everything's going good." John smiled, his hand rubbing his belly lightly. "We should get to know the sex next time we see Penny and Freddie can't wait for that." He chuckled, shaking his head as he thought about the (overly outrageous) bet his boyfriend had wanted to make with him over the gender of their unborn child.
"That's the best part." Brian smiled yet again, remembering the day he and Roger found out Ivy was a girl. He couldn't believe he was going to have a daughter, the whole time secretly thinking he was having a boy. He remembered the feeling when Penny said "girl". He remembered the tears in his eyes and the way his heartbeat sped up as Roger squeezed his hand, looking over to him in tears himself. It was something Brian knew he'd never forget, no matter how old he grew, he'd always remember that moment.
"I'm a little nervous." John laughed, scratching the back of his neck as he looked down, trying to hide how REALLY nervous he actually was. He didn't know why, but the idea of finally knowing the sex of the baby made John panic a little. It made him worry that maybe he wasn't ready to do this, maybe he wasn't ready to be a dad. He'd not mentioned his anxieties to Freddie, not wanting him to worry, but it was eating away at him a little more with each day they got closer to his next appointment.
