*JOHN'S POV*
"Hello?!" I called loudly as I opened the front door to the house, expecting somebody to be home to greet me. I was meant to be released from my facility this afternoon but my doctor said he was happy for me to come home early because he knew how badly I was missing Freddie. I tried calling earlier to see if anybody could come and pick me up but there was no answer on the phone. I assumed somebody may have been in the shower or sleeping so I caught a taxi but nobody was actually home it would seem. "Cool. I'm alone." I sighed, closing the door behind me. It felt a little strange to be back home after being away for so long. It kind of felt like it wasn't even my house anymore I'd been gone that long! I felt like I was invading everyone's space a little as I wandered around the house just taking everything back in. Some of the therapists at the facility told us that we need to get readjusted to our surroundings when we go home, just so that we don't feel disconnected and on our own again. "This is so weird." I mumbled, my eyes flickering around the room at everything that had been changed while I'd been gone. There was new furniture and new pillows and just an overall new feeling in the place. I was supposed to be feeling like I was home again but I just felt like a stranger. I sighed again, trying to push back any thoughts that could creep in about me not belonging back here as I wandered to the kitchen for a drink of water to calm myself down. I was shocked to find somebody's breakfast still sitting on the counter and the teapot still out as I walked in. Surely Brian would've flipped if he saw somebody leaving a mess about like that! He was a cleaning Nazi that bloody man, I'll tell you! I was confused as to what had happened, about to attempt to try and clean some of it up when I heard the front door open and close again, somebody coming home.

"I need to shower and clean up and make sure everything is perfect for John." I heard Freddie's muffled voice come closer, his frame coming through the kitchen door as I looked up.

"Hi." I said softly, earning his attention as he looked up too with a squeak.

"John?!" He gasped, looking as though I gave him a fright as he clutched a hand to his chest. "W-What on earth are you doing home now lovey?" He asked, quickly coming to wrap me in a hug, something I'd been missing more than ever lately.

"They, they let me out early." I explained, my voice muffled too as I pressed myself further into his neck, my arms holding him tightly.

"Oh, I wish I was here! I wanted to be home when you got here!" He sighed. "I wanted the place to be clean and I wanted to shower and smell all delicious and-" He rambled, only being cut off by my lips pressing themselves to his for a soft kiss.

"I don't care about all that." I chuckled, pulling away slightly. "I'm just glad to be home with you." I blushed, smiling as he connected our lips again, pulling my closer to him (if that was at all possible). "I missed you." I sighed myself, feeling content to be back in his arms once again.

"I missed you!" Freddie exclaimed, making me laugh once again as my arms settled around his neck. "The place was so boringgggggg without you." He groaned dramatically, my smile only widening as I missed his drama way too much.

"I'm sure you managed to find something to entertain yourself." I smirked, knowing he'd have been right into baby planning or scribbling out new song lyrics. Before I left I'd noticed him drawing again too which was something he'd stopped doing for a while. I was glad he was being creative again. Not being able to be in the studio and have our music being made kind of stripped some of it away I felt.

"Well this morning I bloody did!" Fred sighed again, dropping his hands from my waist to rub his face tiredly. "I'd never experienced panic like that in my lifetime!" He added, shaking his head as my interest peaked higher.
