*3RD PERSON POV*
*A Few Days Later*
"We need balloons Bri! What's a party without balloons?!" Roger exclaimed as he and his boyfriend once again tried to discuss their daughter's first birthday party. The blonde had not given up on getting in early and planning the special day, pushing Brian into just getting it over and done with to avoid the pair clashing any more than they already had.
"We can get balloons Rog." The older of the two sighed, scribbling it down on the already extensive list the drummer had made of "essentials" for the party. They were going to have enough supplies for her next three birthdays at this bloody rate, the amount of things Roger wanting almost having to equal a whole store already!
"And streamers!" He added, looking deathly serious as Brian resisted the urge to roll his eyes, not wanting to get on the wrong side of Roger's mood again.
"They're already on the list love." He nodded, Roger nodded back as he seemed to relax knowing that one TINY part of his grand plan was covered.
"Your Papa is a looney, isn't he?" Freddie joked as he bounced Ivy in his arms, the little one laughing along as if she got the joke herself. The whole band (John even making a rare appearance in the kitchen that morning) were gathered to discuss said party, Roger wanting everyone's input as John and Freddie were both going to be there of course to celebrate. "Are you okay lovey?" He asked worriedly, sensing something was up as John stayed quiet beside him. The two of them had another doctors appointment today to ensure everything was going well with Archie, and John's quietness was becoming a little concerning to the frontman.
"Something's off." The bassist answered, his hand resting on his bump as he bit his lip. John didn't know how to describe what he was feeling inside, but he could just tell something wasn't right.
"What do you mean darling? Are you okay?" Freddie panicked a little, the look on John's face definitely worrisome to him.
"I, I don't know. Something just doesn't feel right." He shook his head, not knowing how to explain just how he was feeling.
"Is it Archie? Is he okay? Are you okay? Are you in pain anywhere?" Freddie rambled, his mind taking him in all different directions as he struggled to remain calm.
"N-Nothing hurts, I'm, I'm okay." John nodded, not feeling any pain that would explain if something wasn't right with him or his little one. "I just, I can feel something isn't right." He sighed, biting his lip again. "I'm worried about the appointment today." He added, his eyes flicking down to his belly.
"Has anything happened to make you so worried?" Freddie quizzed, holding Ivy close to him with one hand as he wrapped his free arm around John's waist to pull him into his side.
"No." He shook his head again. "I just, I haven't felt him move as much as before." He said quietly, his stomach churning at the thought of something being wrong with his son. "That, that could be bad right?" He asked, his gaze now on Freddie as he felt a few tears in his eyes. Freddie's heart instantly began to race, his eyes widening as he thought everything over. Could that be a bad thing? Could something really be wrong with Archie?
"I, I don't know lovey." He answered shakily, trying not to show how worried he actually was. The more he thought about something being off with his baby the more he began to panic, the idea of potentially losing him making Freddie feel physically ill. "I-I'm sure he's fine." He nodded, trying to convince himself that everything was going to be perfectly okay, even if deep down he didn't believe a word. "He might just be having a rest for a little bit. It must be horribly cramped in there for him." He added, rambling on as if that would help settle either of their nerves.
