Ayesha Rakki's POV

I've worn plenty of dresses for fashion shows and similar events, but it feels a bit strange to dress like that for something as casual as a simple dinner.

"You look amazing."

"Where's Uncle?"

Nagkaroon pa nga ako ng meeting with Therese for about one hour para i-check yung new projects.

"I'm here." "Still pretty, Rakki. I told you, we should buy more dress."

"Don't you dare, Uncle. I have my own damn money to buy those things. I can handle myself."

"Why? You looked really beautiful in those dresses. What's the issue with it? I only have two people I spend my money on, so don't hold me back, okay?"

"I'm not trying to stop you—I'm just saying you might want to avoid overspending on things I don't really need right now."

"Don't you like it?" Oh god.

"I do. Whatever."

"Yes. I also asked her for an update on our on-going projects. Anyway, how's the issue from last time, Tristan?"

"I'm still handling it. The owner is considering filing a lawsuit, and we're negotiating."

"Then speed it up. We're running out of time. We need to close the deal."

"I'm not a robot, Rakki. My team is doing everything they can. Give me two days. It's difficult to coordinate from here."

"And that's exactly my point. If you were in Paris, this would've been sorted out much quicker."

"Rakki, stop pressuring your brother. Can we just not argue today?" Taas kilay na tanong ni Uncle.

"I'm not pressuring him, Uncle. I'm simply stating facts."

"Yes, but you can state facts without trying to make us go home. Don't push us away—it won't work." Napabuntong hininga nalang ako at wala ng nagawa. "As far as I know, your brother hasn't caused any trouble here in the Philippines. He's been quite well behaved."

"Well-behaved? Last time, he brought a girl to the hotel, and her lipstick left a stain on the pillow."
