Ayesha Rakki's POV
Pinapanood ko si Faudia at Tristan na hindi nag-uusap habang kumakain kami ng breakfast. Pinapunta ko kasi dito si Faudia para may kasabay siya kumain. Hindi ko naman inakala na hindi talaga sila mag-uusap. Gusto kong matawa.
"Faudia, I heard the son of the chairman from the party last time is pursuing you. What happened? Do you like him?" Napatingin agad ako kay Tristan na napatigil pa sa pag-scroll sa ipad niya pero bumalik din naman sa pagiging busy.
This is really interesting.
"He just messaged me, Sir Sean."
"He messaged you? Like what message?"
"Just a greeting."
"Is it a date?" Nakisali na ako.
"Are you serious, Ms. Rakki?"
"What? I'm just asking." Nagtatanong lang naman ako. The chairman's son really likes Faudia. Maganda naman kasi kaso halatang hindi siya gusto. "It's a date for sure."
"It isn't."
"Why? His father likes you too for his son. What can you say about that?" Gusto kong matawa ng malakas dahil alam kong sinasadya ni Uncle Sean 'to.
"I don't know what to say, Sir."
"Try saying yes." Sagot ko.
"Ms. Rakki."
"What?"
"I'm busy. I don't have time for that."
Natawa na ako. "You always say that."
"Because it's true, Ms. Rakki."
"You know, you're already in your late twenties. So are Rakki and Tristan. At some point, you should consider marrying someone."
Napatingin na si Tristan sa sinabi ni Uncle kay Faudia.
This is really interesting. Pfft.
"Tristan also never introduced someone to me." Tiningnan ni Uncle si Tristan bago siya tumingin kay Faudia. "Why don't you just date each other?"
Natahimik ang lahat.
"Uncle."
"What, Tristan?"
"Please stop."
"Why? You two get along." Napatango ako sa sinabi ni Uncle.
"We work together."
"That's not the point. You know, now that I think about it, you two do spend a lot of time together."
"Can we discuss literally anything else?" Kunot noong tanong ni Tristan.
"Oh this is getting interesting." Natatawa kong sabi kaya pare-pareho silang napatingin sakin.
"Nothing is interesting, Ms. Rakki."
"Exactly." Wow. At talagang nagkampihan pa silang dalawa.
"Okay. Enough with those two, Uncle. I'm going now to the hospital." Natural na sabi ko dahil parang naaawa na ako kay Faudia at Tristan. Hindi man lang tumitingin sa isa't-isa.
