Maaga akong nagising para dumaan sa isang grocery store kinabukasan. Kailangan ko pang bilhan ng chocolate and strawberry si Isshi.
And thankfully, dinala na ni Tristan ang sasakyan na hinihintay ko. Pagbaba ko kasi ng apartment ay nandon na ang sasakyan. Dumaan na daw si Tristan kanina and bought me breakfast pero hindi siya nagtagal. Hindi ko rin siya nakita. Nagulat nalang ako may pagkain at susi na sa kitchen table ko.
Isang plastic ang dala ko matapos dumaan sa isang grocery store. Habang nagda-drive ay tumawag pa si Therese.
"Oui?" [Translation: Yes?]
"Bonjour, Madame." [Translation: Good morning, madam.]
"Qu'est-ce que c'est?" [Translation: What is it?]
Sa tunog palang ni Therese ay mukhang may problema na. Isang araw palang, Rakki. Isang araw palang.
"ll y a eu un probléme hier. Comme prévu, les directeurs ont fait des choix similaires à ceux de l'année dernière. lls semblent confiants en votre absence." [Translation: There was a problem yesterday. As expected, the directors made similar choices to last year. They seem confident in your absence.]
"Comme prévu." [Translation: As expected.]
"Mais ne vous inquiétez pas, le président a déjà réglé le problème. ll a parlé aux directeurs et leur a dit que s'ils étaient au courant, ils les tueraient sans hèsiter. lls ont peur maintenant, madame." [Translation: But don't worry, the chairman already fixed it. He talked to the directors and said—that if you knew, you would surely kill them. They are afraid now, madam.]
"C'est bien. Y a-t-il autre chose?" [Translation: That's good. Is there anything else?]
"Oui, il y a autre chose. J'ai transféré de l'argent sur le compte bancaire de Monsieur Tristan, car il m'a appelé hier. ll m'a dit que c'était vous qui lui aviez dit qui'll était autorisé à demander des fonds." [Translation: Yes, there's one more thing. I transferred money to Sir Tristan's bank account because he called me yesterday. He said you were the one who told him he was allowed to request funds.]
Napailing ako sa narinig ko. Kulang ba ang pera sa card ko at nagpatransfer pa siya? Oh, god. Sumasakit ang ulo ko kay Tristan.
"Ceci est une copie. Tenez-moi au corant." [Translation: This is copy. Keep me updated.]
"Bien sûr, madame." [Translation: Sure, madam.]
Hindi muna ako bumaba ng sasakyan nang makarating sa stonefield. Tinawagan ko muna si Tristan para magtanong.
Hindi ako madamot na tao. I can give him anything he wants pero napag-usapan namin na we should still be careful when spending.
Isa pa, mas marami siyang pera sakin dahil yung buong kompanya sa Paris ay kaniya. Sa pangalan niya inilagay ni Uncle lahat ng perang pumapasok doon. Isama mo pa ang iba't-ibang ari-arian ni Uncle. Hindi lang talaga halata pero mayaman si Tristan.
"Yes?"
"Great. Nakausap ko si Therese and she told me that you asked for a money."
"Why? Hindi ba pwede? Sobrang yaman mo na, Rakki. Yun ang role ko sa buhay mo, diba? Ang gastusin ang pera mo."
"Tristan, you have the damn money to buy your things. Mas mayaman ka sakin baka nakakalimutan mo??"
