Izuku woke up to find himself in Shoto's arms. Then he saw Eri, still asleep in his own. He smiled down at her affectionately, then sensing he was being observed, looked up.
Aizawa sat in the chair opposite glaring at him."You kidnapped a child?" He asked. It wasn't accusatory but he did sound exasperated.
"You slept with Present Mic?" Asked Izuku, matching his father's tone. The glare he received made him shiver with fear.
"Okay! Okay!" He felt Shoto moving in his sleep but kept explaining, lowering his voice, "I met Kaachan... and we were talking... then my instinct was screaming so I followed it and found her... she has this really powerful but also deadly quirk... and there was the guy after her who tried to kill us... she wanted to come and was very injured and clearly unsafe so I did?""Has a powerful but deadly quirk?" Prompted Aizawa, not even questioning the story. He didn't need to, it was exactly the type of thing that would happen once he'd finally sorted out Hiniyuki Rei. It was the second law of Izuku: 'What can happen to Izuku, will happen to Izuku, and at the most inconvenient time for Izuku's father.'
"She said it was a curse and asked if I was an angel who could take it away...." Continued Izuku, returning his gaze to the child nestled in his chest. "I did. It gave her the ability to rewind a body to a previous state. Dad.... With this... I can save Oboro."
Izuku smiled and Aizawa couldn't help but return one. "You're crazy."
"I know." Then seriousness returned to Izuku's expression. "Dad, she's... she's been used as a blood bank, and an experiment. And the man who came after us, he had a truly awful quirk."
Aizawa nodded, but to be honest, his mind was more on his old friend than anything.
"What are your plans for Oboro?"Izuku sighed, "when I'm not around, I think Kurogiri has full control, so I need to see him to convince Oboro... and Tomura still isn't responding to my messages since learning who my genetic father is, neither is Kurogiri. I'd guess All for One has twisted and made the most of that truth while he was at it, so face to face conversation is the only chance I have to try and win him back."
"I'm sure it will happen." Said Aizawa, tucking loose curls behind the greenette's hair kindly.
Izuku nodded, but couldn't smile. He really missed Tomura."What's her name?" Asked Aizawa, trying to shift the topic to one that would cheer up his son.
It did, Izuku practically lit up, and his eyes glimmered with warmth and affection when he gazed at the girl, "she's called Eri. Dad..."
Aizawa grimaced internally, he'd never genuinely had to deny Izuku anything before, and now he realised how damn difficult it was. "We'll see, we don't know if she has traceable family."The greenette frowned but tilted his head in acceptance. Shoto blinked awake sleepily.
"Sleep okay Zu?" He half mumbled in his usual monotone.
The greenette leaned into him slightly then seemed to think better of it at Aizawa's glare, pulling away with Eri, still out of it, balanced on his hip."You can put her down." Pointed out Aizawa dryly, but the look he received told him just how attached Izuku already was.
Without even bothering to answer, his son got up. Aizawa got up to, hiding his wince.Shoto eyed Aizawa with his implacable poker face, as the greenette lightly asked.
"Is Yamada still here?"
Aizawa maintained his own poker face. "He is."
Izuku smirked playfully. "Will he be wanting breakfast? Since you're the one hobbling I'm assuming he'll have no trouble with the stairs?"
The hero swallowed, and nodded stiffly.
Izuku smiled reassuringly, "I'm happy for you both, and you especially needed it."
Then he left the dumbfounded pair, Eri sleeping on his hip to cook breakfast for six.He was humming as he entered the kitchen, and jumped slightly when he found Touya already there making toast.
"You're making breakfast? I thought Aizawa would be questioning you about the child?" Asked the redhead, quirking an eyebrow.
Izuku shrugged impassively as he poured a little oil into a pan and turned on the gas. "I broke him well after walking into the league of villains with no back up plan and coming back completely unscathed."
Touya nodded, "unscathed? I thought you slept with Tomura?"
"No," replied Izuku, not even blinking, "I offered but thankfully it felt wrong to him too. We just played computer games."
"Huh. Sorry if my assumption was rude."
"No worries, it was a logical assumption."
