(Ruel's pov)
I walk away from this department and go home, where I will stay for a while. I'm done with it.

Then I hear someone running after me. Which makes my walking speed even faster.

Blake: "Ruel can you stop for a moment?"

I stop, roll my eyes and cross my arms.

Ruel: "What?!" I snarl at him.
Blake: "Ruel I understand you're angry, I really do. But I know her and please believe me when I say this takes a while. She is going to need you. She needs someone she can trust. And I know that you can offer that to her. She needs someone who doesn't know about her past. Who doesn't remind her of the past. I can't tell you anything because she has to dare to tell it to you. So there is no need for pushing, the only thing is time and confidence. Give her one more chance, but let it come from her. "

I roll my eyes and walk away without saying anything.

*Wednesday*
(Yasmine's pov)
The last few days I have taken a lot of rest and so I did not appear at school. Fortunately, Blake and Maeve came to visit me, so I was not alone. Because of course my mom wasn't there for me. Even if she would be there for me just one day to ask how I'm doing. At least it makes me feel like I still exist. But of course she doesn't even do that. When Nola is home from her education I sometimes get food, but that is also minimal.

I can't deny that I didn't try to reach Ruel a few times. He just doesn't answer and I'd like to tell him I'm very grateful that he helped me. I don't want to send a message because I think it's impersonal.

School should be over and I'm in the driveway in front of Ruel's house.
Only I don't see his car here.

Still I ring the bell and the door is opened by Sylvie.
Sylvie: "Hey sweetie."
She puts her arms around me and I give her a hug back. The calm feeling she gives me as always calms me down.
Sylvie: "Are you coming for Ruel?"
I break away from her and nod.

She offers to wait inside until he returns from school.
So now I'm on the kitchen island with a hot cup of tea in my hands.

Sylvie: "You are not doing very well." She notes.
I sigh and rub my face.
Yasmine: "That's right. It really kills me."

It feels good to speak to her again. I always liked Sylvie much better than my own therapist and therefore I was sorry that she wanted to do something different in the end.

Sylvie: "I am still being kept informed about you. And now not only by your therapist." She says laughing.
Yasmine: "What do you mean?" I ask with a smile.
Sylvie: "When Ruel started talking about a girl who behaved differently and kept things hidden. I knew it was about you. On Saturday you brought up feelings that I didn't even know he could get those in that situation." She says half laughing.
Yasmine: "Aww, is he really talking about me?" I ask in a cute tone.
Sylvie: "Yes, he really cares about you."
It is obvious that he cares about me, but my feelings exclude that. I guess I don't want him to care about me, although I actually want to.
Yasmine: "But I don't want anything to happen to him. You also know what can happen."
Sylvie: "That's right, but let him decide for himself."

I quickly turn my head to the door when I hear a key put in the lock.

A tall boy with dirty blond hair and hazel green eyes walks in.

I'm not sure what to do. Suddenly I'm inside with his sister at the kitchen island. What should he not think? He doesn't know that his family already knows me a bit, so this is going to look very strange to him.

I look at Sylvie with panic in my eyes.
Sylvie: "We'll be fine, we're going to make this happen normally." She whispers.
Apparently she thought exactly the same.
