Chapter 19

Just when we go down the stairs, the door bell rings. We changed and got ready. In the meantime I have recovered from what happened and so I'm not going home for now.

I open the door and the first one that walks in is Blake. I rub his black hair wildly when he walks past me. He turns around further and looks at me with dark eyes, which makes me laugh.
Blake: "Now is my hair messed up again." He says in a fake angry tone.
Yasmine: "No you're just too vain." I say laughing.

Maeve: "Blake you can't deny it!" She shouts at Blake from the living room.

Ruel stands diagonally behind me and when Liam comes in he greets him with a special handshake.

June: "I don't understand how I keep it up with them."
She looks at me with shiny eyes and I get a smile on my face. The energy she carries is always very positive, which makes me feel better.
I shrug and giggle very gently.
Then she closes the door behind her and takes my hand, and we walk into the living room.

We all sit around the TV and choose a movie. It will be something of Marvel again, because how fanatically they are discussing which Marvel film is the best, it turns out that there are a number of fans here.

Blake is sitting in the corner of the sofa and I sit against him with my legs drawn up. My head is leaning on his shoulder and he has an arm around me. Ash is sitting next to me and Ruel is sitting further on.

Liam: "Why is your hair damp?" He asks with a broad grin on his face.
It takes me a while to realize he's talking to me and Ruel. I sit up and to see if Ruel has heard it. I had sunk deep in thought. I don't pay attention to the film, nor to the conversations that were going on.
Ruel: "We swam."
He tries to say it as normally as possible, so as not to show that what had happened.
I get a light push on my leg and Blake looks at me in surprise. He knows I don't swim because of my panic attacks.
Yasmine: "It's okay." I whisper.

Suddenly a wad flies to my head and I see Liam pulling a suspicious face in front of me.
I unfold it and read:

Would you like to swim with me too?
Greetings Liam

I laugh and make a wad of the piece of paper again to throw it back.
Yasmine: "In your dream, dumbass."
He puts on a fake pout and looks at me sadly.

June: "Let me see. What did it say?" She says as she tries to pull the wad out of Liam's hand.
He has it too tight, so she doesn't stand a chance.
Liam: "You can't see. It is none of your business." He teases, making her even more curious.

Meanwhile, the pizza has been ordered because we already got a bit hungry. The first film has also already ended. I have received very little. Either I was in my head or listening in on a few conversations.

Skyler: "That album is really good of him." She says enthusiastically.
Grace: "Frank makes good music anyway."
Maeve: "Well good news for you, you can crush even more together at the concert." She says laughing.
Skyler: "Oh not at all." She denies panic.
I look at her in surprise. Anyone who knows her can see that she clearly has a crush. But then who admits that?

The doorbell rings so I jump off the couch.
Yasmine: "I'll go."

When I walk past Skyler and Grace I give them a playfull slap on the shoulders.

I take the pizzas and thank the delivery person, after which I close the door with my foot.

In my mind, it seems like I've seen that man before, but I wouldn't know who it is. I just recognize those penetrating eyes.
But why can't I get it for me?
