Chapter nine

Your second day at UA started just like any other school day. You even did some normal studies, such as your boring English class. It was taught by Present Mic, though, so that was something.
During lunch you sat with Tsu, Kaminari, and Jirou. You all speculated about what your hero studies class would be like later on in the day. 

"I wonder who our teacher's going to be?" Kaminari questioned

"It's going to be All Might, right? I heard some students had All Might as their hologram acceptance message, kero." Tsu said with her finger on her chin. 

"Yeah, I did! Who did you guys get?" You spoke up. The others seemed surprised. 

"Lucky! I got Present Mic." Kaminari said. "I had no idea some people had All Might! What was it like?" 

"I guess it was like yours. He just told me my scores and stuff." 

"I got Midnight, so that was pretty cool." Jirou said. 

"I got Ectoplasm." Tsu said and you nodded. 

"This feels like we're telling each other what Pokémon cards we've collected." You commented and Kaminari laughed. 

"I challenge you with my Pikachu!" He declared. You smiled. 

"I might have a type disadvantage with my Vaporeon, but I could still beat you!" 

"Pikachu! Use quick attack!" Kaminari began the battle. 

"Pikachu used quick attack, hitting Vaporeon, kero" Tsu quickly took her spot as moderator. 

"Vaporeon, use surf!" 

"Surf hits Pikachu, but it's not very effective, kero." Tsu said. 

"You should've chose a different Pokémon." Jirou commented. 

"It's okay, I'll figure it out." You wouldn't give up yet. 

"Pikachu, use thunderbolt!" 

"Pikachu uses thunderbolt. It's so effective it knocks Vaporeon out. Sorry y/n, kero." 

"It's alright. I've tasted defeat before." You resigned yourself to your fate. Kaminari cheered. 

"Guess who won? This guy! That's who." At least he seemed happy. 

The day dragged on after lunch. You worked on, with hero studies lingering in the back of your mind. You couldn't wait to see the other students quirks in action! And maybe, just maybe, you would find the Avatar? 

"I am here! Coming through the door like a hero!" All Might burst through the door. The class cheered and you almost got out of your seat. 

"I can't believe it's really All Might!" Kaminari said in amazement. 

"So he is a teacher! This year is going to be totally awesome!" One guy with spiky red hair exclaimed. 

"Hey look, is he wearing his silver age costume?" Tsu asked. He definitely was. 

"I'm getting goose bumps! It's so retro!" The guy with a tail said. You should probably learn your classmates names soon. 

"Welcome to the most important class at UA High! Think of it as heroing 101. Here you will learn the basics of being a pro, and what it means to fight in the name of good!" You were so pumped. This class was going to rock. "Let's get into it! Today's lesson will pull no punches!" He pulled out a sign that said "BATTLE" in big letters. 

"Fight training!" Bakugo seemed a little too happy about the prospect of beating someone up. 

"Real combat?" Midoriya seemed kind of scared. You were excited. Hopefully this meant you would see your classmates in action!
